My mate needed a bone marrow transplant.

We found a match in Argentina.

The operation was a success.

Our thanks go out to Diego Marrow Donor.

Yes, Sharpie, yes. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
Hope you and everyone and everything are good, mate.

A man was arrested today at would belching championships after belching so loudly he shattered 3 windows in a near by house. He was later released with a pardon.

Bless you 62.

I know, mate. ๐Ÿ˜Š But, for some reason, it really tickled me. ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช

Why donโ€™t we go for Rydrygo? Heโ€™s fit and playing.

07 Aug 2026 13:37:38
Yes, I agree with that, Dublin. Mentioned it a couple of weeks back.

07 Aug 2026 20:09:56
Hey Dublin, hope all's good, buddy. Looks like Vini really did pull the wool over the eyes of all Madrid's really intelligent top brass in the end. I'm going to Arsenal, Madrid said not on your nelly, here's a bucket load of cash and a six year deal.

Never thought they'd fall for it, but they did. Just goes to show you, mate, that the old I've agreed to go somewhere else to get that better deal does still go on. How gullible are Madrid. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Take care. โœŒ๐Ÿป & ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป to you, Dubs.

A thousand thumbs up, No.

Just want to say thanks to the Emirates Airlines for their new sponsorship. They have stuck with us through good time and bad

Well done to the Kroenkes.

Yes, well done Jeanette and Ian, Fanabidozi. ๐Ÿ‘

06 Aug 2026 10:51:18
So where does that leave us no the Jnr debacle is over, I can't help feeling we have been used to get him a better offer.

Anyone else on offer?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2026 12:05:07
Hello Banbury, I would not call it a debacle, I think we genuinely believed we could get him.
I don't think we were used by Vini's agents to get a better deal. Real offered him an improved deal, which by all accounts he is going to accept. The fact that Real improved their offer seems to me that there was genuine concern he would leave to come to us. If Real thought that Vini was using us to get a better deal then I think they would have dug their heels in.

Personally, I wasn't bothered either way.
Rashford is worth a punt, an idea that's been put forward by other posters.
Barcola is another Martinelli imo.
Williams, never impressed when I have seen him.
Nusa, the Norwegian winger, looks good as well.
My choice would be Rashford.
Take care, Banbury, mate.
COYG.

06 Aug 2026 17:16:36
I also was not very hopeful with Vini. I feel we are some way away for top Real or Barcelona players to want to come to us; we have to be consistently winning or challenging for the PL and CL for that to happen. I also believe we will be there in the next 2-3 years.

We have got Tzolis to cover left wing. We should get Rashford and Osimhen. With Bruno also looking like a done deal, we should be set up nicely for the next season with these additions.

07 Aug 2026 06:06:14
Liverpool fan here, and I say this as sincerely as possible, but I think you all dodged a bullet not getting Vini. Arteta's main positive was that he was able to build a squad that all pulled together in the same direction. imo Vini would have disrupted the harmony in the squad, and while he is a great player, you'd be a weaker team overall.

07 Aug 2026 08:11:30
Agreed, Dracred. Real are a club that is set up for players with huge egos, but Chelsea and United are currently two clubs still trying to rediscover a collective team mentality after signing too many players who thought they were doing those clubs a favour by signing for them.

Building and developing a genuinely collective mentality that runs through an entire club can take years to achieve, but it can be lost in a couple of months if you bring in players with the wrong mentality for your club.

05 Aug 2026 19:35:24
Wow Hector Bellerin looks like he starred in Cheech and Chong.

{Ed014's Note - I couldnโ€™t believe his new look, bloody awful ๐Ÿ˜‚

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Aug 2026 20:13:11
We getting spanked.

{Ed014's Note - yep pretty poor stuff from us so far and how bad is Kepa

05 Aug 2026 20:20:40
We got one back now, losing 2-1. I know we have a lot of the side out, so a good run out for squad players.

05 Aug 2026 20:21:34
Can see why we signed another keeper mate.

{Ed014's Note - yep although whether heโ€™s any better I donโ€™t know, having Raya is such a blessing.

05 Aug 2026 20:25:17
Amazed he is not playing, it's not like he got worn out in the WC!

{Ed014's Note - he will be back soon and only fair to let him have a little bit of an actual holiday ๐Ÿ˜‚

05 Aug 2026 20:29:15
Nwaneri trying to damage everyone lol.

{Ed014's Note - we are falling over ourselves to give them a few goals ๐Ÿ˜‚

05 Aug 2026 20:31:47
Think our defence is still on a beach somewhere.

{Ed014's Note - most of them are to be honest and 1-3 is no more than Betis deserve

05 Aug 2026 20:37:24
Yeh, they seem to be more up for it. Think they said this is their 6th friendly, it's showing.

{Ed014's Note - I wondered if that would be a factor when the commentators said that.

Be interesting to see if we do any better 2nd half, not a great deal on the bench.

Quinn describing us as lethargic

05 Aug 2026 20:44:27
Think he said "letaaaargic".

{Ed014's Note - you're right he actually did ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

05 Aug 2026 19:28:39
Dream over now let's move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2026 20:13:20
Exactly, Dublin, didnt really think it was going to happen.
I think there was genuine belief that we could get the deal done, but we got Bruno today, so quite a good day at the office.
COYG.

05 Aug 2026 15:31:33
Why aren't we looking at Rashford, surely we won't go wrong with him, he is exactly what we need, covering the left wing and also the centre forward, plus plenty of high level experience.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Aug 2026 16:14:22
Thumbs up from me Highbury. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

05 Aug 2026 20:01:27
Who's to say we aren't looking at him, Highbury, mate? We are very good at keeping our cards close to our chest, and things only becoming public knowledge just before deals are done.

I know this is frustrating for some fans who want to know what's going on, but it's clearly working well for the club.

I think it's easier to just believe the club know what they are doing, and that by the time the season kicks off everything will be fine. ๐Ÿ‘

05 Aug 2026 11:11:07
Looks like Bruno is a done deal.
Absolutely fantastic signing.
Magic hat chant is the song that the Newcastle fans use for Bruno.
Can anyone come up with something original?

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Aug 2026 15:13:15
We've got Bruno. He's magic, as you know.
He runs our midfield and makes the Arsenal flow.

05 Aug 2026 15:26:40
The best I can think of, Bill, would be Amy Winehouse, something like:

They said we'd need a load of rehab and we said "Bru-no-no!"

He's been white & black, they can't have him back, "Bru-no-no!"

He can turn on a dime, & we all (or Mikel) think he's fine.

They said we'd need a load of rehab and we said "Bru-no-no!"

05 Aug 2026 15:45:44
Brilliant Jim. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

05 Aug 2026 22:35:52
Wonderful Jim. ๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽต ๐Ÿ‘

06 Aug 2026 10:38:18
๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽต
"I don't believe that anybody feels the way we feel about you now, cus after all, you're our Bruno." ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽถ

07 Aug 2026 10:14:42
I just re-read, and instead of
"he can turn on a dime" something better would be:

"Runs, scores & passes all the time, and we all think he's fine."

Or, a little more self-deprecating,
"He doesn't score all the time, when he does it's extra fine."

05 Aug 2026 10:13:09
Morning all Ed's and fellow gunners sky sports news breaking right now Arsenal agree ยฃ75 million with Newcastle for Bruno guimaraes. am I allowed to believe it now I won't until I see him hold up that red and white shirt. onto vini jr, I know a lot of people (myself included) think vini/ vini's agent are possibly using the Arsenal thing to gain a better deal with Madrid.

(would be a great signing if we could get him) . But let's flip the scenario. could the Arsenal be using vini talk as a massive smoke screen .? . If so, realistically who do do you think/ really like to appear through the smoke I'm going for nico Williams and if not doable I'd probably go Marcus rashford COYG/VTH ๐Ÿ”ดโšช๏ธโค๏ธ.

05 Aug 2026 10:32:52
Hi Gabi, I think both the player's representatives and Arsenal are using each other, and I'm pretty sure if everyone else can see it, so can Real Madrid. I'm sure we'd be interested if he was genuinely interested in moving, but I don't believe that's the case, and he will be with Real for a few years yet, mate.

05 Aug 2026 10:40:29
Morning g62, hope all's good. I'm with you on that. I think Vini will stay at Madrid. So, who would you go for as a left-sided attacker?

05 Aug 2026 10:41:24
Gabi, do you really think the likes of Real Madrid, with all their management and directors, would fall for a "well if you donโ€™t pay me what I want Iโ€™m going to Arsenal"? Come on, we are talking about the biggest club in football. There is no way itโ€™s all a scam to get more wages. We are genuinely for him! And if Real want to bend and pay him what he wants, thatโ€™s what everyone will say happened. But if he signs the deal thatโ€™s already on the table, then what will people say? "Vini rolled over"? Arsenal are just waiting to see what Vini wants to do; the ball is in his court, nobody elseโ€™s.

We have offered a better deal than Real, so letโ€™s see. But all this nonsense of him bluffing to get a better deal is laughable. Try that out where you work, see what happens. Iโ€™m sure we will do something even if itโ€™s not Vini.

05 Aug 2026 10:48:31
Good morning, Gabi and John.
Like John, I cannot see it happening.
There's + and - to the deal if it did happen.
He is obviously a world class player, and he would enhance the squad's quality beyond measure, but the fee and wages could hamstring us in later transfer windows due to profit and sustainability, which clubs like City and Chelsea don't give a flying fig about, but we, The Arsenal, do.

I read an article about how we tried to sign Bruno a few years back, but because of our respect of the financial rules and having still bearing the debt of the ยฃ80 million Pepe deal, we had to pass.
I just like to add that if the deal did go through, I wonder if Zubamendi could go the other way.
Anyway, take care both of you.
COYG.

05 Aug 2026 10:58:25
Just like to add, if we didn't get Vini Jr, I was quite impressed with the Norwegian winger Musa. I think that's his name, but I would not have any problem with Rashford.

05 Aug 2026 12:31:15
Morning Dublin, hope all's good. I see where you're coming from, but how do you know we have offered Vini a better deal than Real Madrid? And I also work for myself. On a good day, I could easily bluff myself to a pay rise. On a bad day, I could just down tools until I give in to myself for a better deal, and on a really bad day, I could chain myself to a fence and absolutely demand a better deal, but I wouldn't do any of the above, because my boss is quite a reasonable bloke.

๐Ÿ˜‰ โœŒ๐Ÿป & ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป To you, Dubs.

05 Aug 2026 13:18:14
Class, Gabs, your boss sounds like a good man. There have been multiple credible reports; some even suggested Arteta has told Vini we will build the club around him and he will be the main man. Personally, if this happens, Arsenal will have crazy money coming in and it will change us as a club.

I saw above someone mention we could afford someone because of the Pepe deal, but our club is nothing like that now. We can easily afford him with no financial worries because he is a global superstar and would generate 100s of millions of pounds.

05 Aug 2026 15:28:50
Hi Gabi, if I'm honest, my wider knowledge of footballers and opinions on how good they are isn't anything like what it once was. I tend to focus my attention pretty much on Arsenal nowadays.

I obviously know about Williams from the Euros and World Cup, and in my opinion he's ok, but I'm not sure he's anything close to world class.

If he comes to us, I wouldn't be devastatingly unhappy about it. As for Rashford, I like him more as a central striker than a winger, but he would definitely provide us with a couple more options in both positions.

05 Aug 2026 16:39:49
I know Williams laid on the winner in WCF, but whenever I have seen him, he doesn't impress.
