Good morning Mal mate, it was a good craic. Solid win and now move onto the Hammers who have tripped us up last couple of seasons and with a new manager in Nuno it ain't going to be easy but we will get the 3pts.
Take care mate.
02 Oct 2025 10:33:35
That def coffee is lethal Mal! Avoid avoid avoid lol.
02 Oct 2025 18:03:11
Haha Sally I'll do my best too.

Another home win - good to see Saka on scoresheet. Hope Gabs is ok. Nice assist for Ode who had a really good game. Onwards and upwards
On to the Hsmmers - let's get the performance and a big score with a Viktor goal 👍🙌 COYG.

Ode was on fire last night, great to see back to his best SY. 🔥 💪.
02 Oct 2025 11:33:54
Good win last night and a very important 3 points. Team looking more hungry and a lot faster building up.
It hasn't been easy for Gyokeres, I really want him to hit the ground running and start scoring but beside the goals he's been really active and not looking shy nor lazy. Hopefully with Ode is back and Eze he will get more service and start smashing those goals.
02 Oct 2025 12:05:46
I think the team is adjusting more and more each week now to accommodate VG game Moe mate, I'm less concerned about his fitting in than I was previously despite his current lack of goals. I think things will suddenly click for him with us in the near future.
02 Oct 2025 12:22:01
He is putting in a shift isn't he John mate, we are definitely releasing the ball quicker, he looks like brick air raid shelter and definitely causes problems. I don't think he will be another Haaland like 40 plus goals but the wins keep coming and he keeps trying and causing problems that's good enough for me
Take care mate.
02 Oct 2025 14:41:24
Hi Bill mate, I don't think another Haaland exists anywhere on Earth mate. I think VG has 25 goals a season in him once we and him are fully up to speed with each other's thinking and movement.
02 Oct 2025 19:27:49
I thought he looked slot better against Newcastle. Still quite a bit off epl pace but a lot better. He needs to make the runs and force players to find him and show where he wants the ball.
Yes - Ode did look a lot better but I don’t want Eze wasted on the wing when he can drive speed of game in middle and be more effective. Happy to see Ode to come in in 2nd half and rotate. But yes - a lot better in his passing.
02 Oct 2025 19:46:12
It's brilliant that we have such competition for places and options now SY mate. I think both Martinelli and Ode are already benefiting from having to fight even harder to get a game. i'm not fussed which individuals start and which ones have to sit on the bench and watch as long as we are all watching entertaining and winning football. I'd love to see Noni play so brilliantly that Saka couldn't get a game and Merino reduce Rice to a bench warmer because we'd certainly have some team if Saka and Rice couldn't get in it 👍👍👍👍.
02 Oct 2025 20:01:08
I was talking about Noni taking Sakas spot as I think he’s been more direct and not sure Saka is 100% but that shows the strength you refer to. We really have a very good squad now. Competition breeds better performances and we have plenty of games to rotate players. If we can get a decent fast striker and bring I a left winger that would be amazing but you are spot on. It also looks like Arteta is loosening his obsession to defend defend defend and keep the ball at all costs. That will benefit Viktor who looks better each game.
02 Oct 2025 21:07:55
I agree SY, we can only hope Mikel continues to trust his attacking players ability as much as he does his defensive players abilities. We might concede half a dozen goals more over the season if we score 30 goals more over the season then happy days for everyone. I love our brilliant defence and absolutely love seeing our defenders celebrate stopping a goal every bit as much as I enjoy seeing our attacking players celebrate scoring a goal but ultimately we have be prepared to risk a little more if we want to be everything we have the ability to be👍👍👍.
03 Oct 2025 08:01:25
Sy do you know now why we signed Noni
Arteta knows what he's doing
Give it a break now buddy.
03 Oct 2025 19:42:17
Give what a break bud - I’m confused.

Hey SY, you know in every friends group there is always that one grumpy friend which is very hard to please but they love him and the group won't be without him 😂😂 that's you buddy.
All of us hear dying to see our arsenal lifting the big trophy again and I have that weird feeling its almost home bud.
02 Oct 2025 19:23:55
Thanks Sally
Thanks Moe - fingers crossed. I think we are suited to do well in Europe. A kind passage could see us in the very later stages of that tournament also.

Go get them, Malaga! I hope the 96th minute adrenaline from Sunday is still raw and we go full tilt at Olympiakos and get the 3 points. Olympiakos is a tricky fixture as we know but hoping for a comfortable home win. COYG!
01 Oct 2025 19:14:16
Yeah great nights Mal mate.
Just seen a clip of Nicky Butt saying Arsenal are the best run club in the country 👍👍.

Last season Premier league champions City were going really well in the league and looking good value to retain their title, until they suffered their first league defeat of the season quickly followed a few days later by a shock champions league defeat, before going into freefall for the rest of the season.
I'm not saying that Liverpool fans should definitely be worried about the same thing happening to their team, but football does have a funny habit of repeating itself 🤔🤔🤔🤔.

01 Oct 2025 03:24:49
Maybe g62, but all the same I think their ability to take points in the league despite not playing too well means that the title run will be a close thing whoever wins it. They go hell for leather for the last 30 minutes of every game - something we are only now learning to do.
01 Oct 2025 10:10:53
Blessings in disguise, liverpool will go through a lot more hurdles this season the media looks like they are already sharpening their knives, and i don't believe liverpool will be able to sustain another season. As long as we sort our medical team I am very optimistic about this season.
01 Oct 2025 14:41:19
I watched their last two games and not only did they lose but they were actually abysmal. Although, last season they didn't play well and walked the league, so I wouldn't write them off yet (;
01 Oct 2025 16:17:18
Everybody goes through a bad patch and drop points, we need to capitalise on it and hold our side of the bargain to get the points we need. Last three seasons we have dropped points when we absolutely had to win towards the business end of the season and that has cost us. We need to be as perfectly consistent as possible throughout the season.

I've been reading the Liverpool comments and other sites recently. We certainly aren't flavour of the month. It seems Arteta isn't respected by many teams because of his over-the-top antics and his hair (since when has hair dictated how good you are? ) .
I think Conti, Wenger/ Fergie, Mourinho etc etc were equally as vocal and I don't remember that being a problem.
Hey ho we will just have to drown out the noise, keep calm and carry on.
Or perhaps it's because he was voted the most handsome manager in the PL 🤣.

It’s seems everyone feels the need to put people/ things in a box. Insults like Lego man Stoke City are a) bollox and b) tribal c) lazy and moronic
I always thought Conte had a lovely wave of natural hair personally 🤣 although Jim did call Slot Baldy so maybe it’s a thing COYG.
29 Sep 2025 19:27:43
Very few people bother putting down and slagging off people they don't feel threatened by Sally, it's actually a compliment to Arteta that so many people are now so negatively obsessed with him.
Very few people get over emotional about managers of mid table or relegation fighting clubs, it's almost always the managers of the teams that frighten them most that get the most abuse.
29 Sep 2025 19:35:41
To be fair - you listed a load of winners and they earned that right. Arteta hasn’t really done anything. Wenger changed the game, won trophies and transformed our club….
29 Sep 2025 20:06:24
I think Arteta has transformed Arsenal SY.
29 Sep 2025 20:45:46
I totaly agree with that comment too Sally, he may not have yet and may never actually take us to the ultimate highs the game has to offer but compared to where we were on and off the field before he took over we are totally unrecognisable. Even our home grown youth players are now coming in at a crazy early age and delivering at a very high level on a regular basis. It's easy to forget just how far he has brought the club sometimes.
29 Sep 2025 22:23:32
Has he brought a new style f football not seen at the club: elevated our global brand, changed training, diets, new stadium or won the league? Transformed the youth set up? He ‘s not even won the same as Wenger in his Shyte years”
He’s had a billion pounds thrown at him - he hasn’t got us back to playing at the level Wenger got us playing. Transformed is a big word and his change is small in my world. Sorry but he’s not yet fit to be mentioned with Fergie, Jose, Klopp, Pep or Wenger. To me that’s disrespectful to this great managers that truly did great things and probably only in Fergie and Wenger transformed a club.
I’m glad you are happy with the changes he has made - Wenger took over a failing Arsenal and what did he do in the first two seasons?
{Ed025's Note - SY you have to rein it back a bit now mate, we get it...you dont rate or like Arteta and of course opinions are fine but its getting a bit monotonous now, you have been a good poster for a long while now and im sure you dont enjoy being so negative my friend but lets not try and bring the moral of the site down please..
30 Sep 2025 05:51:01
Sy read the other pages, there’s enough anti Arsenal stuff to go around without one of our own sticking the knife in all day every day. Relax enjoy that despite in August when the fixtures came out the instant narrative was wow Arsenal have a tough start we are just two points off the top. Labouring the same point isn’t enlightening. MA may or may not be who you think he is but he’s a Gooner and loves the club and I like him for that! The louder the outside noise the better we are doing VTH 😎 😎☀️☀️.
30 Sep 2025 11:18:06
Hi Sussex, the only reason I mentioned 'Baldy' was because the OP felt the need to call Arteta 'Lego head'. I didn't start the name calling, but felt the need to bring the post down to their low-level of intelligence in the hope they may understand the point I was making a little bit better.
30 Sep 2025 11:42:19
I know Jim and they deserved it . Not linking you with that level of posting far from it. Anyway enough Pool talk ( although I’m guilty of posting too much) out my system now - meant no offence Jim COYG.
30 Sep 2025 13:15:10
Yep - noted Ed025 I was on a run of a few positive posts also…. 😢
Sally - sorry for that reply. It wasn’t meant to be anti-Arteta but that he isn’t in that category of manager yet. I did feel bad about the post last night.
