Occasionally pop over to the MU and Liverpool pages to see what their fans think of recent performances. My word the Liverpool page is a vat of boiling piss right now. They're frothing about how much they hate Arsenal and how all their players are so much better than ours. There are a lot of Liverpool fans in my life - in-laws included - but got to say, they really need to learn a bit of sportsmanship.

I occasionally go to the Liverpool page too since it's so active. And i too saw the post you're talking about π
Many of them seem to take issue with our playing style. Some of us take too. That's fine and you can have good discussions about it without anyone getting hurt.
Other comments are about Arteta's hair etc. That's just immature. There are some intelligent users but many of them don't seem to have much respect for others.
The thing is, are we the same? I'm prpbably too biased to tell.
29 Sep 2025 13:51:25
They haven't got over 71 and 89.
29 Sep 2025 13:56:10
The only time I can honestly say I've seen Liverpool mention on here is when one of their fans comes on here and we wish them well. United and Tottenham on the other hand, well I feel they just bring it on themselves π.
29 Sep 2025 14:28:18
Take no notice guys, they`re at school today anyway. 89 film `Who`s going to beat them` - that`ll be us then!
PS there are some rational sensible posters on their page which I enjoy reading although I ducked out at Tissues and Lube being bought over Isak signing! I love our boys but there is a line - very very strange banter COYG.
29 Sep 2025 14:28:19
Dacred, Wyred and my namesake Bill come on here with constructive posts from the Liverpool page, I never seen any Spuds on here apart from The Raver. As for the Mancπ€·π€·.

Hey Billy mate, there are some really nice lads on utd page I go on for a chat regularly.
And I don't like to kick anyone when their down
.
29 Sep 2025 17:08:11
I will have to pop over there Mal at some stage
Thanks for the heads up mateππ.

During the 13/ 14 season there was a very positive and some brilliant friendly humour being mutually exchanged by all poster's on this page and lots of poster's from the Liverpool page as both sets of fans enjoyed seeing their teams enjoy totally unexpected flirtations as title challenges from August to early March/ late April that season.
I think the difference between then and now is both clubs are now title favourites and both sets of fans genuinely feel their team/ squad are the best in the league, so both resent seeing their teams strengths questioned by the other teams fans.
When expectations become fiercely serious on both sides unfortunately it's only natural that fan rivalries will follow suit.

Spot on 62 - Fergie was nice about us and that annoyed me as he knew we werenβt a threat then.
29 Sep 2025 19:59:28
I agree Sy, when we were at our best Fergie and Arsene didn't get on at all and Fergie was always trying to wind Arsene and our player's up bring out the worst in them. Once we became also rans Arsene and Fergie became good friends and Fergie often defended Arsene, never more so than when he talked Arsene into a selling him RV.
The only time I remember Fergie being nice towards a manager in his prime or about a club at their best was in 2008 when Pep and Barcelona humiliated then champions of England man United in the Champions league final.
30 Sep 2025 13:18:34
Very true 62 - it felt like Fergie was mocking Wenger by being nice. Really annoyed me but thatβs where we were and itβs good Arteta is getting under LFC and City skins as it means we are competing at the big table again.
How are you anyway? Still at the charity place? Hope you are well and that we are good.
30 Sep 2025 16:01:26
Im all good thank you SY, yes still with the same charity but have very recently transferred from our homeless prevention team to supporting people who are very sadly are already homeless and sleeping rough by the time they get to us. Would you believe it was 5 years ago that i started with the charity? Where have those years gone mate π€.

Missing you on live chat old timer.

JUSTICE SERVED. Excellent away win at what's been a tricky venue for us the last few years. thought we played well. especially when we play the quick attacking one touch football (hand brake off) . only 2points off the top and a long way to go. Liverpool have Chelsea next week after we play West Ham, who we definitely should not take lightly as they have a bit of a habit of upsetting the apple cart. we've got to do a number on them and take the top spot before the evening game and put some pressure on the rest. Re: the handbrake thing, just shows that it's not just about the players as Merino was the gamechanging sub today. Really good at linking the play and pushing us forward, then a top-drawer glancing header for the equaliser.
Loved to see the rest of the lads tell him to get his arse back to the centre circle as well so we could find the winner!
28 Sep 2025 19:15:03
If it takes a referee 5 minutes to view var footage - how can it be a clear and obvious error.
Surely a Quick Look and move on.
If two pundits disagree - it's not a clear and obvious error so decision stands.
I don't get it.

I reckon that was swings and roundabouts Sy. If Gykores hadn't been so theatrical I reckon the pen would have stood. Big Gabi was lucky not to be penalised for punching their big centre forward which I missed during the game. And also a possible hand ball.
Buzzing for our boys, what an ending! πͺ πͺ πͺ π₯ π¦.
28 Sep 2025 21:40:35
The nice thing is Sally irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the officials decisions we got on with the job and made it happen for ourselves.
Control the controllable as they say.
29 Sep 2025 04:03:08
I'd be fuming if that handball was given against anyone (defenders union here though, granted) . Great challenge and it ricocheted off his arm which was there to balance himself during the tackle. The main call that Newcastle should have had was a yellow for Saliba. Those late challenges in the air are far too dangerous to let pass without a yellow, ref really let everyone down there.
28 Sep 2025 19:00:52
I'm buzzing lads

Excellent performance and result Bill mate π, exactly the approach we've all been asking forππ.
28 Sep 2025 18:51:33
Totally agree
Hopefully thatβs the game we look back on and say thatβs when it changed
We will be fine if we play with that intent and Vik will benefit from it.
28 Sep 2025 19:24:34
Exactly, Bill. Much better than the tactics against City last week.
28 Sep 2025 18:39:38
Far far far better performance, intent and attitude that paid off with a super win. Well played boys. That's how we need to go about our business, π π π
Eze and Timber were immense
Few players need to remember it's a man's game and be stronger but Gabs made up for it.
Really happy - now let's build on this and step up the intent.

28 Sep 2025 22:02:06
