To be fair most teams would struggle with both their first choice CB’s injured but I don’t think we helped ourselves today.
Firstly the starting 11- surely it was obviously that both Fury and Eze would come central leaving a huge gap down the left.
Secondly- Gyokeres needs to improve quickly. He was brought in to be on the end of those crosses like a minute before the Villa goal.

Controversial question- has the Eze signing blocked his route into our 1st team? I’ve heard Chelsea are sniffing around signing him.

I was watching some highlights of him playing for Sporting last season and he looked slimmer and was moving a lot quicker than now.
