Hi Ed002

Andreas Skov Olsen - is he any good and do Arsenal have an interest?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - Andreas Skov Olsen (RW) Has had a very good time at Brugge since moving from Bologna. Long term interest of Spurs remains but they see the 30M asking price as high. Brentford consider him an option to replace Bryan Mbuemo. I am not aware of any approach by Arsenal.}

1.) 26 Aug 2024 10:47:11
Thanks Ed002.

Any changes in the in and out landscape for you? Do you know if Arsenal are done with ins for this window or if they're maybe trying to make something happen because of Jesus' injury?

{Ed002's Note - I don't think they have finished just yet.}

Ed002, are Arsenal interested in Ederson da Silva, at Atalanta?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any Arsenal interest and they have other targets.}

Rumour doing the round that Arsenal could offer ESR in a swap deal for Douglas Luiz.

ESR not really getting games with us.

RSharpe

1.) 13 Nov 2023 20:14:27
Shame if true. ESR is a better player than Havertz, and could do a good job in there if given the chance.

2.) 16 Nov 2023 14:01:09
I am a big ESR fan, but I am starting to wonder if he is going to another Jack Wilshire (also a player that I loved in an Arsenal shirt)

he seems to have never really had a sustained season without an injury and when you consider that he was ahead in his time scale of first team than Saka was and how far apart their careers look now I am for the first time starting to wonder if we would be better off moving on From ESR.

Which I really dislike saying out loud.

Ed02, if you have the time, I have a question about club ownership. So, a person can't own more than one football club in the same league. How does that work for teams that are legible for the same competitions, like Europa League, Champions league, etc?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - The rukes are related to majority ownership, so owning a small percentage is not an issue. For situations whener owners like the City Group own several sides, those with the lowest co-efficients will be excluded. For clubs like RBL and RBS the ownership structure was changed to accommodate them.}

1.) 14 Oct 2023 01:55:33
Thanks ed, so for example if Girona and city qualify for the CL, would Girona be excluded and if they are, would they drop to the Europa League or be totally excluded?

{Ed002's Note - The City Football Group do not have majority ownership of Girona.}

I have a good feeling Mudryk will sign for us. He already has Only Jesus tattooed on his neck.

Just watched some clips of the lad. He looks very assured on the ball. If he fits in, he'll be some player for us.

RSharpe

1.) 06 Jan 2023 07:17:58
I'm not worried about Chelsea interest in him. The guy set his heart on arsenal and the way he's been behaving on social media indicates his only interested in joining us.

Shakhtar been a nightmare to deal with and United ruined the transfer market with antonys valuation.

I like what I'm seeing from him. I think him and felex will be a statement from arsenal but doubt we will get the 2.

{Ed014's Note - to be fair Mo United have ruined the transfer market with countless over priced transfers!

That Antony is absolute garbage, he makes Pepe look like Messi! Jason Sancho another one. ?‍♂️

2.) 06 Jan 2023 08:09:15
Totally agree ed mate, so you can understand shakatar point of view when you have 2 clubs in the PL in chelsea and untied are willing to pay over the top for players, selling teams start licking their fingers when they see they have an opportunity to take advantage.

{Ed014's Note - it’s only natural mate, it’s such a long time since we’ve had a saleable asset (player) that we forget what it’s like and would probably be doing the same.

3.) 06 Jan 2023 10:32:45
14, it's Jadon. Jadon Sancho. Also, surprised you didn't mention the fridge ?

Moe, I'm not keen on a Felix transfer to us. I can't see him setting the EPL on fire, but I could very possibly be wrong.

4.) 06 Jan 2023 13:30:31
Hey sharpy mate, hope you're well bud.
I think Felix can do well in an attacking team such as arsenal or city or even barca. But we can say the same about mudryk too.
What I see from mudryk is his immense when he has space to run at defenders but can he do we games are locked and 10 players behind the ball like last week game. So a player with good dribbling can get through couple of players the suddenly you have a chance. I think Felix can create those spaces. IMO, I ain't no football manager in the end. ?.

Haven't seen the game but have heard a similar incident to Saliba's happened in the Chelsea v Liverpool match. Yellow card.

Will be interesting to hear PGMOL's take on this.

RSharpe

1.) 21 Oct 2024 00:56:35
Was certainly more contact than what Saliba made.

2.) 21 Oct 2024 12:36:11
Sharpe I'm a Liverpool fan and thought it was near identical. Jota would've been clear through and had Gakpo sprinting clear on his left too - looked a lot more contact made than the Saliba one too but these days who honestly knows what the verdict will be from one week to the next? Will VAR get involved? Will it be the right decision or just a wtf was that decision? let's spin the wheel and see lol - like a bloody gameshow these days.

16 Oct 2024 04:50:53
Well, that's SAF's winter fuel allowance taken away.

RSharpe

1.) 16 Oct 2024 08:12:17
Lol. He never put the heating on anyway cause he’s Scottish.

2.) 16 Oct 2024 10:43:54
Oi! I had my heating on 3 times yesterday!

14 Oct 2024 09:30:01
Can someone please tell me how to cancel an ebay bid, I bid £25 for a cowboy outfit and I'm 11 minutes away from owning MUFC.

RSharpe

{Ed014's Note - that’s bad news mate as demolishing that dump of a stadium will cost a few quid and not sure you’ll get your money back in scrap! ?‍♂️

1.) 14 Oct 2024 11:41:48
FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE you can buy Barnet.

2.) 14 Oct 2024 13:48:09
Assuming you will now get rid of Ten Hag Sharpie? Lol.

3.) 14 Oct 2024 17:29:53
At least you got 10 bob in change.

09 Oct 2024 08:51:20
I've just spent 55 quid on a belt that doesn't fit. Huge waste!

RSharpe

1.) 09 Oct 2024 10:33:23
Oh belt up.

2.) 09 Oct 2024 11:44:59
You're not listening! I can't ?.

3.) 10 Oct 2024 06:59:20
Oh, I’m sure you can fix thst in a cinch.

4.) 10 Oct 2024 09:24:18

5.) 10 Oct 2024 09:58:19
Brace yourself for some more fun.

07 Oct 2024 06:26:01
Could it be that time where Spurs supporters are fed up and start supporting City, like last season?

RSharpe

{Ed014's Note - they play the last match against them in February, will they be able to give up three points at that stage in their fight to secure a Europa Conference League spot? ?‍♂️?

1.) 07 Oct 2024 08:01:54
Didn't watch the game, but watched highlights. Maddison's darts celebration is comedy gold

I'll say this, if they'd deployed the "Dark Arts" in the second half, they may have won that, or at least got a draw. Like we did, with 10 men, against City. ?

I thought Kiwior showed well whenever he played. Would be a shame to lose him.

Their team is much younger now though. They don't need medical staff with experience caring for geriatrics.

Luis apparently has a £103 million release clause. Thought Lavia was a £50 million prospect.

Glenn, we were devoid in every area of the pitch. Ode on his own can't fix that. The left wing is a mess. Our style of play seems to have changed drastically. Nothing is free flowing anymore. Our previously brilliant defense isn't anything like brilliant and seem to have an error or two in them each game.

Highbury, I'm hoping you're in the minority because no way was that a pen for me. Ball hits attacker's foot, then hits Merino's foot, then hits his hand. And he's standing on one leg so his arm is where it's expected to be.

Having said that, that was the only time I remember him having the ball at his feet. Brought nothing, gave us nothing, on the night. Well, except for that dodgy pen.

Past the kneejerk reaction stage and given some time to think about the players he's actually brought in, not to mention the money spent on players . he should have actually been sacked.

Sure he's a decent guy, but we've spent some crazy money on his watch and we don't really have the players to show for it. The 105 million for Rice still irritates me for some reason, as does the 60+ on Havertz. Then there's the real gems, like Pepe, David Luiz, Willian, Soares, and obviously Sterling.

He's made some good buys too, I won't deny that. However, after spending close to a billion quid, we still have nowhere close to the quality or depth of City.

We've been through some keepers too. I didn't realize it was as many. Leno, Ramsdale, Ryan, Turner, Runarsson, Martinez.

Hopefully we get someone in that is going to take the job seriously.

RSharpe

{Ed001's Note - I was discussing it with Ed77 yesterday and we both said exactly the same thing about him - sells low but buys high. It looks to me like a potentially very positive moment for Arsenal.}

Not sure why that would unsettle Arteta, Sally. I mean, they're just mates. Did City go off the rails when Arteta left? Nope.

Not a chance this affects what's happening on the pitch. Why would it? It's not like he's the manager.

BFG = Big F'ing German (Per Mertesacker)
