Rogers going to Chelsea.
£117 million.
Well we move on.

I bet we were never in for him, Billy.

18 Jul 2026 20:19:04
Absolutely move on. £117m 😂 Yet again, they've been mugged off. £65m Gordon starts over him for England. You'd probably get Krav from PSG for that kinda money.

18 Jul 2026 16:44:51
Also keep an eye out for Cardiff City's young CAM Axel Donczew.

Surely we should be looking at Vini Jnr! Talk is he’s available and Man Utd are in for him ifs he’s available he should be priority for me! Big player won Everything football has to offer! He’s a game change!

So we are looking at just 15m for Jesus - guess paying him 265k per week wasn’t the smartest decision. Paying the likes of him and Kai 280k PW is very questionable.

Looks like we will clear our decks and refresh. Need to be careful as next season will be tough after a long season and no breaks for a number of players..

Chill bruvva.

We're going to be just fine.

Bring on the season.

18 Jul 2026 16:42:23
Hi Mark, I can't wait for the new season either. Loads to look forward to, and absolutely nothing to worry about. Well, nothing that worrying will make any better than simply taking the season as it comes will.

18 Jul 2026 17:00:03
Hey John, mate, you ok?

Still buzzing.

I don't get it.

18 Jul 2026 17:58:09
Yeah, all good here, thanks Mark, and hope it's the same with mate.

I'm excited about the new season and what it might have in store for us, especially given the fact we've now got that really big trophy win behind us and that nearly men label well and truly off our backs.

Reason to feel excited and positive look plentiful to me, and I'd have to dig really deep to try and find something worthy of worrying about, mate, so why bother with all the effort of even trying to do something so negative to ourselves, mate. 👍

18 Jul 2026 18:29:14
Totally agree with you, John, mate.

All good here in the Emerald Isle.

Up, up, and away we go.

Just read that Tuchel has apparently said that it's in the English players DNA to bottle it.
I think Sally could be right about him losing the dressing room.

Hi Bill, I think the England players themselves have developed the same fearful mentality that seemed to take hold within our own team after so many years without success.

England and Arsenal seem to have been on very similar journeys in recent years, after having spent so many years out of contention. Both teams suddenly found themselves back in the big time, competing at the highest level again, but also consistently coming up short at the business end of the season/tournament. I think the very same loss-aversion mentality that consumed our players, and caused them to automatically defend when they went ahead in games, has consumed the England team too.

I thought the England players themselves automatically sat back after they went ahead on Wednesday, just as they did in the Euro finals under Southgate, and both England managers, as with Arteta himself at times, simply made substitutions that suited the way the players themselves had collectively decided to play anyway.

Hopefully after finally getting over the line last season, our players will have overcome that loss-aversion mentality, and we will see them play without that heavy burden of fear next season. 👍 As for England, well, they still have to find a way of winning something first before they get the opportunity to move forward too.

{Ed025's Note - spot on that for me G62..

18 Jul 2026 15:35:29
Let's hope so, & let's hope we figure out corners can't save us also.

18 Jul 2026 10:43:32
Hello John mate, absolutely agree with Ed 25, you have got it spot on.
Take care John mate👍👍

If Big Will out for few months. Wonder if Stones would be worth a punt. Free agent. Between him and Mosquera could fill the void.

Would much rather Fury and Hincapie covering Ramsgate! How many cb do clubs need? I guess if Fury and Hincapie are covering left back alone, we'd need more. Could be a rough start to the season if Dekkers and Willy out.

Could speed up Bruno, I guess. Don't get me wrong, if in as cover, and it is deemed we need cover, then could do worse than Stones. He was used to sitting on the bench at C£ty. COYG.

16 Jul 2026 17:12:36
* And Saka COYG.

17 Jul 2026 17:32:02
Sussex, completely agree with Fury and Hincapie filling in. But, with those 2, and big Gabs all being left footed, not sure that's what Arteta would want ideally. So for me, Mosquera 1st option, but he'd need back up.

18 Jul 2026 16:21:55
Fair point, Ramsgate, and I do rate Mosquera! COYG.

England play Argentina at rugby on Saturday.
Funny how sport throws up these things.

Looks like Billy Boy is going to be out for sometime.
How do people feel about getting John Stones for a stop gap?

I can read a room so I won't rub my new #NoEnglandLet'sParty hashtag in just yet. I feel it may be too soon.

Hope everyone is having a most excellent summer - even those that enjoy a summer all year round (Ed001) .

I've been looking at highlights of Manu Kone of Roma. Lad looks very skilled. Wouldn't mind seeing him in an Arsenal shirt. Thoughts fellow Gooners?

{Ed001's Note - cheers Sharpie! I am just looking forward to proper footie returning.}

It's been a poor WC. Just haven't felt it this time around to be honest. Hope you're well, mate.

{Ed001's Note - I have only watched a couple of games.}

16 Jul 2026 09:01:57
Very poor game management from us yesterday, Someday the boys will turn into men! Like Arsenal, England's time will come.
Sharpie, there were talks about Kone, but I thought he was totally dominated by Rodri and Ruiz in the midfield, not sure he can cope in the PL.

16 Jul 2026 17:15:37
I reckon Tuchel panicked Bill. I've never seen so many squeezed into the box with nowhere to go so early in a game. I wonder if he has lost the dressing room with that decision?

16 Jul 2026 21:24:14
You could be right there, Sally.
Anthony Gordon's face when he was being substituted told a story.
6 defenders on the pitch, 4 of them centre halves, and Eze and Saka, players who can actually keep the ball, sitting on the bench.
🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

15 Jul 2026 22:45:35
Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners. hope all is good. I've just been reading a very worrying report saying saliba could be out for up to 4 to 5 months. if true that's a big chunk of the season. report said he has been playing with back issue for quite a while.

only doing light training sessions and getting by in matches by sheer courage and pain killers. fingers crossed for the lad. going to be a big miss.
