Could this be a stroke genius : re-signing Martinez and cash in on Raya. I'm not a keeper but some of Raya's decision making is questionable and he's soo short that he looks lost at corners. He's a great shot stopper, character and can play a few nice long balls.

A bit too arrogant? I get that / I didn’t like his attitude when playing in World Cup but I do like how he commanded our area when given the opportunity and bossed the defenders around a bit, never made me nervous at corners but Raya does and Raya makes me nervous with his passing to defenders in difficult positions. But he’s not the most important change to be fair and probably a gamble as Raya is doing well.

I am a fan of the guy - yes and don’t believe we should have kept Leno or bought Rambo instead of him. Maybe where we ended up is okay but not a great decision tree from the boss

He makes mistakes regularly for Villa and is living off that World Cup win.

Personally I think Raya has had an excellent season and if he's not good for us then we might as well through the towel in.
In my opinion only Saka and Saliba have possibly had better overall seasons than Raya.
