Just seen a lovely rumour - Martinelli as a no.9 tomorrow!
03 Sep 2025 09:31:43
Morning eds, does anyone know if we are in for any of the many free agents available now?
{Ed001's Note - not as far as I am aware, no.}
1.) 03 Sep 2025 15:19:56
Thanks for the response Ed ?.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome Sally.}
18 Aug 2025 20:13:44
Evening eds, are Spurs leading the race for Eze does anyone know?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know, I know are in for him but no idea how to quantify that. No one has yet met the asking price that I am aware of, so it is open to anyone to make a deal.}
1.) 19 Aug 2025 13:35:31
Arsenal enquired and spoke about price structure but no offer was made. Not really sure we need him there’s enough midfield quality. He’s 27 hardly going to have a resale value and he’ll probably warm the bench a lot. I’m sure there’s another better player for Arsenal incoming.
2.) 21 Aug 2025 07:00:37
Thankfully, you're wrong no3. In my opinion he's going to be a great signing. Another player who is desperate to put the shirt on! Think he offers us something very different which is being more direct and much as I love odegaard that's something that isn't really in his game. That ability to run and dribble around players.
3.) 24 Aug 2025 21:16:28
Sammy Nelson is never wrong ?.
20 Jul 2025 13:34:59
Is Man Utd really trying to get Gyokeres, do any of the eds know please?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry, but it would make sense as he is the one Amorim wants.}
1.) 20 Jul 2025 15:23:30
As a Utd fan, I can't see him signing for the Utd.
Arsenal are in the CL and will challenge for the league as well. God knows what Utd will be capable of in the new season. Given his age etc, it is a huge gamble to go to Utd, a team who are still in a rebuild.
I'm sure he will be at the Emirates fairly soon.
2.) 20 Jul 2025 16:02:00
It's beginning to feel a bit wobbly MH!
3.) 20 Jul 2025 16:24:26
They probably want more money. Doing what Brentford did to Utd.
4.) 20 Jul 2025 16:02:24
Thanks for the response ed001.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome Sally.}
15 Jul 2025 16:41:24
Ornstein confirming Viera, Reiss Nelson, Sambi Lakonga, Karl Hein, Zinchenko and Kiwior are up for sale and that the club are willing to sell both Trossard and Martinell! I'm really surprised about Martinelli and hope all these sales in one go don't unsettle the players.
1.) 15 Jul 2025 17:01:15
If that’s the case sally I think it’s good for the club it means if you don’t perform your gone no matter who you are if both lw go then we should still
Be after a left winger.
2.) 15 Jul 2025 17:34:12
Tbh Sally i think martinelli is the only one who we would get serious money for.
Just seen arteta's press conference where he was asked about Rodrygo, he ddnt comment on Rodrygo, s transfer itself but said we have come to the stage where only winning trophies is good enough.
3.) 15 Jul 2025 18:32:54
I think you're right Bill and it would definitly leave us a bit short at LW Dublin!
4.) 16 Jul 2025 00:03:43
Kiwior wants to play and knows he can't displace saliba or gabs.
I imagine Martinellis departure being reliant on a starting LW, but considering form and his sale being a big PSR boost it's not difficult to see.
Trossard and Martinelli out for Eze and .?
5.) 16 Jul 2025 11:30:27
As far as I'm concerned martinelli is atrocious, if we got anything over 50mill I would snap their hands off.
6.) 16 Jul 2025 14:52:25
What let's him down Mal mate, is his final ball.
7.) 16 Jul 2025 19:19:57
I'm a big fan of Martinelli ?.
8.) 17 Jul 2025 20:45:38
We absolutely should not sell Martinelli, he could still become elite and has shown promise as a striking option in big games. As much as I love Trossard and his crucial goal contributions, he's the one to get moved on for me.

You look nothing like them Sally ?.
2.) 04 Oct 2025 13:03:24
A spoilt brat with no history or class, never known what it’s like to win until inheriting a load of cash. Good luck
You have too much class and are too nice Sally.
3.) 04 Oct 2025 14:01:34

I've been reading the Liverpool comments and other sites recently. We certainly aren't flavour of the month. It seems Arteta isn't respected by many teams because of his over-the-top antics and his hair (since when has hair dictated how good you are? ) .
I think Conti, Wenger/ Fergie, Mourinho etc etc were equally as vocal and I don't remember that being a problem.
Hey ho we will just have to drown out the noise, keep calm and carry on.
Or perhaps it's because he was voted the most handsome manager in the PL ?.
1.) 29 Sep 2025 18:54:00
It’s seems everyone feels the need to put people/ things in a box. Insults like Lego man Stoke City are a) bollox and b) tribal c) lazy and moronic
I always thought Conte had a lovely wave of natural hair personally ? although Jim did call Slot Baldy so maybe it’s a thing COYG.
2.) 29 Sep 2025 19:27:43
Very few people bother putting down and slagging off people they don't feel threatened by Sally, it's actually a compliment to Arteta that so many people are now so negatively obsessed with him.
Very few people get over emotional about managers of mid table or relegation fighting clubs, it's almost always the managers of the teams that frighten them most that get the most abuse.
3.) 29 Sep 2025 19:35:41
To be fair - you listed a load of winners and they earned that right. Arteta hasn’t really done anything. Wenger changed the game, won trophies and transformed our club….
4.) 29 Sep 2025 20:06:24
I think Arteta has transformed Arsenal SY.
5.) 29 Sep 2025 20:45:46
I totaly agree with that comment too Sally, he may not have yet and may never actually take us to the ultimate highs the game has to offer but compared to where we were on and off the field before he took over we are totally unrecognisable. Even our home grown youth players are now coming in at a crazy early age and delivering at a very high level on a regular basis. It's easy to forget just how far he has brought the club sometimes.
6.) 29 Sep 2025 22:23:32
Has he brought a new style f football not seen at the club: elevated our global brand, changed training, diets, new stadium or won the league? Transformed the youth set up? He ‘s not even won the same as Wenger in his Shyte years”
He’s had a billion pounds thrown at him - he hasn’t got us back to playing at the level Wenger got us playing. Transformed is a big word and his change is small in my world. Sorry but he’s not yet fit to be mentioned with Fergie, Jose, Klopp, Pep or Wenger. To me that’s disrespectful to this great managers that truly did great things and probably only in Fergie and Wenger transformed a club.
I’m glad you are happy with the changes he has made - Wenger took over a failing Arsenal and what did he do in the first two seasons?
{Ed025's Note - SY you have to rein it back a bit now mate, we get it...you dont rate or like Arteta and of course opinions are fine but its getting a bit monotonous now, you have been a good poster for a long while now and im sure you dont enjoy being so negative my friend but lets not try and bring the moral of the site down please..
7.) 30 Sep 2025 05:51:01
Sy read the other pages, there’s enough anti Arsenal stuff to go around without one of our own sticking the knife in all day every day. Relax enjoy that despite in August when the fixtures came out the instant narrative was wow Arsenal have a tough start we are just two points off the top. Labouring the same point isn’t enlightening. MA may or may not be who you think he is but he’s a Gooner and loves the club and I like him for that! The louder the outside noise the better we are doing VTH ? ?☀️☀️.
8.) 30 Sep 2025 11:18:06
Hi Sussex, the only reason I mentioned 'Baldy' was because the OP felt the need to call Arteta 'Lego head'. I didn't start the name calling, but felt the need to bring the post down to their low-level of intelligence in the hope they may understand the point I was making a little bit better.
9.) 30 Sep 2025 11:42:19
I know Jim and they deserved it . Not linking you with that level of posting far from it. Anyway enough Pool talk ( although I’m guilty of posting too much) out my system now - meant no offence Jim COYG.
10.) 30 Sep 2025 13:15:10
Yep - noted Ed025 I was on a run of a few positive posts also…. ?
Sally - sorry for that reply. It wasn’t meant to be anti-Arteta but that he isn’t in that category of manager yet. I did feel bad about the post last night.
28 Sep 2025 22:40:02
Haven't seeny any posts from Sagalout recently.

1.) 29 Sep 2025 06:56:04

He seems to have been in his form ever over the last couple of seasons Sally, and he also seems to miss less games through injuries now days. Really pleased for him ?.
