Would the eds be able to comment on whether the unhappy players at Arsenal are angling for a move away or if this is just a temporary blip?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - I think many will go in the summer.}

1.) 11 Apr 2021 13:00:10
Thanks for replying Ed. It's sad to see a club with unhappy players.

2.) 12 Apr 2021 00:13:47
Ed’s logically Aubamyang has just signed that big contract so is going to be very content where he is but does seem disinterested and more focused on hiding his hairline (it’s fine men age, atkeast your lifestyle is insane) . Do you think either party (arsenal or Auba) will be looking at considering options this summer.
Also looks more and more likely Bellerin is being moved on.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t see Aubameyangadingding leaving this summer - he would need to be looking at Turkey to get the sort of money Arsenal are paying. The expectation is that Bellerin will move to Barcelona this summer - but nothing is agreed just yet.}

3.) 12 Apr 2021 11:17:58
Ed, what’s the situation with Lacazette, will he offered a new contract or will he be sold?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I would think he will leave if the opportunity arises.}

4.) 12 Apr 2021 11:25:42
Sorry to annoy you, but what’s the situation with Willian, could he be on the way out?

{Ed002's Note - No I think he will be stuck at Arsenal.}

5.) 12 Apr 2021 11:28:28
Thank you for your time.

6.) 12 Apr 2021 11:25:42
Sorry to annoy you, but what’s the situation with Willian, could he be on the way out?

7.) 12 Apr 2021 11:28:28
Thank you for your time.

8.) 12 Apr 2021 17:10:46
Thanks for this Ed.

9.) 12 Apr 2021 22:30:43
Very typical that the players we don't want are the ones who want to stay. So Arsenal.

10.) 13 Apr 2021 16:25:05
I wonder if we have a few players going, if we will have interest in players that are available, pending they want to join Arsenal.

Just read camavinga is likely to be sold this summer. would figure we would have some interest. then again I have no idea how much the lad would command in a transfer fee.

11.) 14 Apr 2021 01:24:28
I'm surprised they pay crazy wages in Turkey, how do they afford them?

{Ed002's Note - They have tax advantages and direct sponsorship is allowed. Italy also have tax advantages over England and others.}

12.) 16 Apr 2021 03:07:33
Ed, you may not be able to answer this. Regarding Aubamayang again. Do you know if Real Madrid have had any interest in him in the past. I’m just thinking, could Arsenal try offer a swap deal for Odegaard as it’s clear we want him.

{Ed002's Note - When he was younger but you are clutching at straws.}

08 Apr 2021 09:27:08
Morning Eds, are we looking again at Saha do you know?
And ed002 are the Arsenal fans generally treating you with more respect these days after the problems last year?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - I am afraid Louis Saha has retired now Sally but perhaps Arsenal could add him as another Director of Football? The fans have been fine recently thanks.}

1.) 08 Apr 2021 10:19:09
My mistake Ed I meant Wilfried Zaha :) glad to hear things have improved :)

{Ed002's Note - Wilifried Zaha (LW/F/RW/AM) The club would like to resist a sale but with funds being tight a good cash offer might have to be considered as his value will no doubt start dropping. PSG have looked previously and like his versatility and see him as an Angel Di Maria replacement who can also take the place of Julian Draxler as an AM if necessary. It is likely that interest has gone in favour of another. Arsenal considered him two years ago and ended up opting for Pepe - there may still be interest but the likely £40M asking price might prove a struggle for the club - and it is enough to keep any other interested clubs away.}

2.) 08 Apr 2021 10:20:51
Sally I must say, enquiring about Ed002 and the disrespect faced last year is very supportive. Hats off to you. This may be a banter site, but there is a line that must not be crossed, but sadly some have not adhered to this in the past. Edoo2, well all the Eds for that matter, are very generous with their time, we should all be grateful. As a club we have always demonstrated class and this is the same with the fans.

Hopefully the Eds can see that the fans appreciate them as you have demonstrated.

{Ed002's Note - Well thanks.}

3.) 08 Apr 2021 12:59:25
Well said Lefty :)

05 Apr 2021 19:07:27
Good evening Eds, is there the slightest possibility we might sell our brilliant Saka to fund further purchases/ pay off debts? It would break my heart : (.

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - The only reason to sell him this summer will not to fund a rebuild but if he won’t agree a new contract.}

1.) 05 Apr 2021 20:25:04
Thanks Ed. I am pleased to hear that
:)

2.) 06 Apr 2021 09:25:07
He signed a new long term contract last year.

{Ed077's Note - till 2024 according to transfermarkt.}

22 Feb 2021 19:05:44
Good evening Eds, is there anything in the rumour PSG and Barcelona might be coming in for Bellerin?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Barcelona - there has been interest.}

1.) 22 Feb 2021 19:37:06
Ed any chance we can get rid of PEA?

2.) 22 Feb 2021 20:10:37
Thanks Ed.

3.) 23 Feb 2021 12:27:09
Get rid of pea 😂 was that meant to sound as disrespectful as it looked.

4.) 23 Feb 2021 17:13:37
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Not intended to be disrespectful. Is he worth his wages? Not a chance. I don't think there's anything disrespectful in that statement.

5.) 23 Feb 2021 17:28:57
I agree Alex.

6.) 23 Feb 2021 19:09:05
Come on eh guys
This is a guy who has carried us with his goals the past few seasons, especially as our defence was so dire.
I’m sure everyone woulda been saying at the time “auba signing a contract would be the best signing of the summer” he signs. If the contracts huge so what, we got what we wanted no? Don’t forget agents are at play when negotiations happen, not all Auba’s fault.
❤️🤍.

{Ed077's Note - You(Arsenal FC) got what you(AFC) wanted when Oil was tied down to his bumper deal and yet it was fine to slam him but PEA should be held immune because why exactly? His performances have been below par since the beginning of the season and he hasn't lived up to anywhere near the levels he set. Be measured and respectful fine but don't be blinded by his goals 12 months ago when you are judging him NOW.}

7.) 24 Feb 2021 07:54:21
Maybe you should all show some respect, could you concentrate on work if your mother was on deaths door I know I couldn’t.

{Ed077's Note - Strength to Auba and family. It's a tough ask to concentrate on your game when there is so much going on in your life. So take a while to approach when having a go and respect the issues going on in the background I say and that applies for everyone.
I completely agree that it would be nigh on impossible for me to be able to concentrate on anything if someone in the family is seriously unwell.}

8.) 24 Feb 2021 11:10:52
I hear what your saying ed077 buu it in my eyes Ozil was treated completely unfairly. Obviously something happened behind the scenes between him and the club over his comments about religion in China. Arteta started him in all his games up to tha point n then boom he’s dropped completely out of the squad. He’s exactly what we’re missing right now so maybe the club were right to extend his contract but other situations occurred to which the club chose money over squad Harmony.
Auba’s not immune to criticism don’t get me wrong but to just get rid of him because he’s had half a bad season in which he’s had horiible family issues is ridiculous to be honest.

{Ed077's Note - something happened with Ozil and Edu as well, didn't it? Also they stopped showing any Arsenal games in China until Mesut was dropped.
Getting rid just now may be too harsh and too hasty of a decision but he hasn't been anywhere near the standards of his previous seasons. His off field issue does mean he deserves more support and time to turn things around.}

9.) 24 Feb 2021 17:02:55
Yeh apparently so Ed, not to sure what it was or what it was about but going by what ed02 says (Edu’s out of his depth) then maybe we did get rid of the wrong guy perhaps.
That’s right Ed, it’s shocking by the Chinese to give Arsenal that ultimatum really and for Arsenal to oblige for that matter. What’s your thoughts on it Ed077? Would you be happy if that happened to Utd with say Rashford?

{Ed077's Note - I would rather not speak about China or CCP too much but I would obviously side with whoever I thought was in the right ( Ozil's thoughts were justified IMO). I don't know whether it was a straight out ultimatum but showing a replay of Spurs game I stead of scheduled Arsenal game is a strong enough hint for most people. I would never be happy if someone is punished for raising a voice against wrongdoings be it be Radford or Fred or Jones.}

10.) 24 Feb 2021 17:59:56
Jegooner, ozil is wrong. He was employed by Arsenal and we have a code of conduct and he broke it
If he had political views he should of waited until his contract had finished and then expressed his beliefs.

Good riddance.

{Ed077's Note - it was more a humanitarian view IMO, malaga.}

11.) 24 Feb 2021 18:19:11
Really Mal, Really? Arsenal don’t own him mate they pay him a wage (yes a luxurious one) but a wage nonetheless. Out of hours who’s right is it to tell someone they can’t voice an opinion on human rights, equality and there beliefs to help people.
I can’t see in what way he was wrong in that. How can you punish someone for that?

{Ed077's Note - me neither Jegooner. I don't see much fault in him raising his voice against an issue that needed more attention.}

12.) 24 Feb 2021 18:28:55
Ed, I’m sorry if this upsets you or any posters but I have 2 tattoos

1- I have an Irish and Italian flag crossed with my family crests

2- I have my wife’s, daughter and granddaughters name set on top of a cannon

I really couldn’t give a crap about ozil s views about a province in china.

{Ed077's Note - it doesn't mean Ozil isn't allowed to share an opinion on it or raise his voice against it. Just like I can't tell you what to do with your tattoos or Ozil for that matter. You don't have to agree with something to see that there could be another point if view on a topic. Also you probably don't actually know what concerns Ozil was trying to bring some light onto with the way you are talking.}

13.) 24 Feb 2021 18:44:50
Ed, ozil used Arsenal as a speaking platform, he would never had done at a Turkish club

He used Arsenal.

{Ed077's Note - I don't see it as such Malaga. He didn't use Arsenal directly to raise his voice, Arsenal just got attached to it because he happened to be your player at the time. Or am I missing something.}

14.) 24 Feb 2021 18:59:52
Ed the problem at the Chinese Provence has been going on for decades. He waited until he got his new contract and them came out with it

Please, I’m not stupid

I.

{Ed077's Note - Better late than never malaga. And he got the contract while Wenger was still at the club and raised his voice after Arteta's arrival. A good 2 years into his new deal.

Maybe he only found out enough to show concern last year?}

15.) 24 Feb 2021 19:15:11
Ed, I want to make it clear, I am not a racist. But I am sick and tired of every excuse under the sun being made for ozil.

I have been an Arsenal fan for over 60 years and we’ve had a code of conduct that every past player and manager has stood by

Ozil broke that so he can f^^k right off and will never be an Arsenal legend in my eyes.

{Ed077's Note - never said anything about you as a person now did I? Maybe I remember the great moments that Ozil gave everyone while you know how frustrating it was on his off days. If speaking against injustice is seen as bad by Arsenal and their so called "code of conduct" than it only makes me happier to not be a Gooner.

Let me end this by sharing= with you a saying= we have round my area. If you randomly shout "Cut The Thief's leg" then the Thief will instantly move his leg in order to protect his leg getting hence giving away the truth.}

16.) 24 Feb 2021 19:17:07
😂 Mal are you saying Ozil shoulda just got a tattoo? 🤣
Belter! 😂 (nice Ink by the way)

I completely agree Ed, it had nothing to do with Arsenal, he’s a famous footballer voicing his views hoping to help people’s lives. China brought Arsenal into it by threatening to discipline them really mate
Your beliefs are your beliefs until you believe no longer, so i'm sure he’ll still use his reputation to help no matter where he’s at.

17.) 24 Feb 2021 19:30:26
Now, now ed

I wonder how you would of reacted if he was an old bogger

It’s easy to comment when the shoe is on the other foot.

{Ed077's Note - what's an old bogger mate? Typo?}

18.) 24 Feb 2021 19:40:41
So am I correct in thinking you don't think Rashford should have spoken about school dinners, Malaga? Is the China Uighur situation not popular enough for you or is it because you're not well enough versed to run commentary on what Ozil's beliefs are?

19.) 24 Feb 2021 19:46:42
An old bogger is slang for old Trafford

Geiger, you can bring other arguments into as much as you want. I’ve said my piece.

{Ed077's Note - so you want to know how I would react if Ozil was an old bogger, meaning if Ozil was Old Trafford? Well it would be difficult to play football there right? I would still be pissed off and very very disappointed and at the club if they punished a player for raising voice against injustice and exploitation of human rights and would be very critical of the club.}

20.) 24 Feb 2021 20:04:02
Ed so the next time you buy any Utd merchandise you’ll be looking to see what country it’s made in.

{Ed014's Note - I wouldn’t be seen dead in any United merchandise mate!🤣🤣

21.) 24 Feb 2021 20:16:17
Night mate

Stay safe.

{Ed014's Note - and you mate

22.) 26 Feb 2021 22:28:15
Ed77, you’re the first Ed I’ve seen spout proper nonsense and essentially start an argument.

Your opinion is poor at best, and you sound misinformed.

Easier not to say anything than talk nonsense.

{Ed077's Note - what nonsense did I talk exactly?}

23.) 26 Feb 2021 22:57:20
I don't believe the Uighar issue was the problem. I just think the club couldn't see a future with Ozil and just wanted his wages off the books. Obviously that causes moral issues as his contract was due to run till June. I adored watching him play a few years ago and I wish him well. I think the whole saga shows a steely aide to Arsenal, not sure if that is good or bad. I often wonder if the mood at the club is better since he left. Perhaps Eds could help with that?

{Ed002's Note - Oezil was not the reason players are unhappy. All that has happened is two of the unhappy ones have left.}

24.) 27 Feb 2021 11:40:21
Thanks for the clarification Ed, that's good to know.

25.) 27 Feb 2021 18:49:33
Yeah how dare ozil speak out against injustices. The world is full of **** and I see atleast one here.

26.) 03 Mar 2021 16:40:04
So 5kywalker you gunna enlighten us then or what? Intrigued to know how ed077 comments are nonsense.
🤔.

{Ed077's Note - I am genuinely curious to know as well. Doesnt hurt to learn something new.}

22 Jan 2021 16:19:35
Afternoon Eds, is there any truth in the rumour we are interested in Ryan Bertrand?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - I understand he is being considered as an option but Arsenal would need to pay for him now or have him sign a pre-contract for the summer. If pressed I would guess he will stay at Southampton for one more year.}

1.) 22 Jan 2021 17:04:38
Thanks Ed002.

Mr Ornstein has suggested the club are sticking with Mikel.
We seem to have an outstanding crop of young players but they must be treated with care and not overplayed. I reckon it will be pretty exciting to watch their development.

Sallyjannine

1.) 09 Apr 2021 23:25:36
Have you ever seen a brilliant you cast in a rubbish film Sally J?

2.) 10 Apr 2021 02:11:33
I agree Sally, our best football has come when Saka, ESR and Tierney are on the pitch but Tierney's injury and Saka's drop in form have probably been down to overplaying.

I have this vision of Arsenal as a club that signs and develops great young players. Would be nice of us to work on returning to that.

3.) 10 Apr 2021 11:07:24
Interesting analogy Gunner :) And yes I would love that vision for our club Wire :)

4.) 10 Apr 2021 20:35:49
Yes - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Huge talented cast - DiCaprio, Pitt, Margot and directed by talented Tarantino. I blame Tarantino and the writers. Oh, think that’s your point? 😂.

04 Apr 2021 16:05:13
What a cracker by Willock :) out of interest, how many of our loanees do you think will want to come back?

Sallyjannine

1.) 04 Apr 2021 16:38:51
None of them.

2.) 04 Apr 2021 17:53:33
What's to come back to?
At the moment not a lot except wages, but who knows what might happen this summer or next season.

I just can't believe the club are simply going to accept 10th place and no European football next season no questions asked.

They've gambled a huge amount of money in transfers on us getting champions league football and champions league money back at the club and I can't see them saying " never mind Mikel, well stand by you, you just crack with your own little unique way of doing things old boy "

{Ed077's Note - maybe you can save the season via Europa League?

3.) 04 Apr 2021 18:20:54
I don’t want any of them back, and I also want Xhaka, Bellerin, Aubameyang, Luis and Pepe gone, preceded by Arteta. There is a rotten lazy core at our club, and if not the actual cause, the first 4 named are the so called senior pros who have done nothing to address, and are more likely the cause. Pepe is just a very poor footballer, with someone somewhere pocketing a serious amount of cash, tantamount to fraud, over the fee we paid for him. We need to accept he is a losing position and take whatever we can get back. Finally we need a manager who knows what he is doing, and who knows how to make his players responsible for their abject and ridiculously inconsistent performances. Sadly that’s already two areas beyond Arteta.

4.) 04 Apr 2021 18:17:56
Not a chance Ed.

5.) 04 Apr 2021 19:36:53
The EL is still an opportunity to gain European football next season Ed077 mate and obviously it's one we have little choice but to throw the kitchen sink at because 10th, 12th 14th in the league does it matter? They are all pretty much failure.

Would winning the EL and securing CL football next season prove Arteta to be more worthy of taking us forward into next season than if we lost in the final and ended up with no European football at all?
Personally I think EL success would be it happened a nice way to say tata Mikel and a chance for the club to realise just how lucky it had been to get away with an awful season by the skin of its teeth and certainly not a reason to think everything was fine.

6.) 04 Apr 2021 20:47:58
Out - Runarsson, Luiz, Bellerin, Cedric, Dani, Elneny, Xhaka, Laca, Willian, PEA ( unless we actually play to his strengths) , Nketiah, Kola, Torreira, AMN, Pepe, Willock, Matteo. Add Nelson also.

Oh - and Arteta

Need to do what Emery should have done and I’ve been screaming for us to do. Wholesale changes as death by a 1000 cuts doesn’t work.

Our manager can’t get us to play decent football and doesn’t have the experience

The squad is way better than our current league position but the boss just doesn’t play to our strengths.

We have some good squad but a coach out of his depth.

If we change a couple of players - we are still where we were. We have no money so we might as well sell to but.

I know it’s not a computer game and I actually believe that a decent coach could get more out of PEA and Pepe.

Add Boussima so Partey had a decent partner so I don’t have to watch Granit or Dani or Elneny any more.

That plus our defensive spine of Mavro, Saliba, Mari, Holding and Gabriel gives ample CDs with quality. In fact we could add one to the lust to sell plus Chambers but I’d keep Chambers in the squad to cover Right back.

Let’s get a proper winger rather than PEA

Let’s get some creativity because that CD and CDM choice gives us steel.

Captain - Tierney

Martinelli up front

Saka on the wing

ESR as number 10

COYG - let’s get it done and cleR up some of the weak spots.

I for one was not that impressed with the winter window - we just gave players away. Why celebrate that as brilliant?

I for one have high standards and Arteta isn’t hitting them nor is the squad - we must change and soon.

I honestly believe this squad is vastly under achieving due to the boss and how he sets us up and tinkers. I want wholesale changes so I don’t have to give the next boss a 3 season hall pass which is BS but we like to do that

Yes it’s not Xbox football but we need a revolution not evolution.

7.) 04 Apr 2021 22:00:41
I agree the squad is by far better than the league position suggests.

I personally think therw are plenty of teams and managers above us who would love our squad and that for me leaves only one possible explanations as to why we are where we are in the league.
It's difficult to think of another logical explanation.

8.) 04 Apr 2021 23:03:31
Couldn’t agree more. Apart from one or two teams, if I put together a combined xi from whoever we are playing I rarely want more opposition versus Arsenal. We have an OK team, not good enough to win the PL or CL, but certainly good enough to be challenging for top 6 and ultimately a good team who are difficult to beat. The fact that we are a poor team, and incredibly easy to beat suggests the set up and style is all wrong, and that is 100% down to Arteta for me. SY4 suggests we should sign a Brighton midfielder, I would go one step further and suggest the Brighton manager as well. Potter may not be fashionable, and he is English which will instantly turn many against him versus some fancy foreign manager, but Brighton also play out from the back, except they seem to do it well, and know what they are doing and play with purpose, they also play attractive football.

04 Apr 2021 15:32:47
Just seen a photo of Arsene taking on Zidane in a charity footie match. Awesome!

Sallyjannine

1.) 04 Apr 2021 20:51:38
I saw a photo of the female captain who got the ship in the Suez canal, turns out in reality the poor woman was actually 100 miles away on a completely different ship at the time:-) .
Were Zidane and Arsene even in the same county at the time Sally 😎
Makes you wonder doesn't it 😀.

22 Mar 2021 13:32:12
What a relevation Laca has been! Do you think he is playing for a new contract/ new club or genuinely getting better service from our midfielders. He seems so solid at the moment.

Sallyjannine

1.) 22 Mar 2021 15:44:42
Or revelation even!

2.) 22 Mar 2021 19:02:30
Who knows his motivation Sally but the service has definitely improved but unfortunately as Fanatic points out below solving the attacking problem has lead to problems at her back.

3.) 22 Mar 2021 19:23:31
I think he keeps rotating the back 4 because he's deciding who to let go in the summer Gunner. I suppose it's the only way to see who fits in with his plans.

4.) 22 Mar 2021 20:06:31
Simple - let Luiz go. Surely that’s easy and you don’t need trial and error. If he can’t see that, he shouldn’t be in charge. Gabriel is a beast, Holding and Mari look pretty good. Left back is a no brainier. Why chop and change?

{Ed014's Note - really want to see what Saliba can do too

5.) 22 Mar 2021 20:27:45
I'm not sure what his thinking is Sally but ultimately it's a result business and some point surely Mikel has to be held accountable for what his Arsenal do or don't achieve.

There are obviously lots of different opinions on Artetas abilty as a manager as there were Arsene and Emerys too and those opinions understandably fluctuate depending on results and performances.

But the one thing that seems to be pretty consistent under Mikel is 1.45 points per game.

Last season we averaged 1.45 points per game and finished on 54 points and this season we are averaging that very same 1.45 points per game average and spookily 100% bang on target to achieve that very same 54 points total as last season as we stand.

If both Arsene and Emerys 1.65 points per game average was deemed as not meeting the required standard and worthy of receiving thier p45 how long can/ should Mikel be allowed experiment as he wishes and achieve 1.45 for ?

6.) 22 Mar 2021 20:43:30
Well nobody can accuse us of not being consistent if they are the stats Gunner ;) bad but consistent. Do you think only Luiz should be let go?

7.) 22 Mar 2021 21:26:23
Personally I'd let Hector go Sally and I'm a big fan of his but he needs a new challenge for many fans he's always going to be a target for for criticism.

I'd let Laca go to despite him doing well at the moment overall his Arsenal career has been like a yo yo and that's not the standard we need and a new contract is the type of risky commitment that has bitten us so many times in the past.

I'd let Nelson AMN Wilock go to because they just aren't even close to Tierney Saka ERS Martinelli standard and the standard required to challenge for big prizes.

It's important to point out at this stage that these are just my personal opinions and in no way factuall and other opinions are available 😀.

8.) 22 Mar 2021 21:47:52
Ed014 - agree and do t forget about Mavro. Love to see him return to our defence.

{Ed014's Note - definitely SY, like them both and feel we didn’t make the most of Saliba when he was with us.

Looked great in a couple of pre season games and then nothing. Both he and Mavropanos are supposedly doing really well on the respective loans.

9.) 22 Mar 2021 22:03:03
Interesting thoughts on Laca. He seems to be in a good run of form when his contract is coming into the final year, whereas Auba has a new contract and seems really sad and lacking in motivation. They used to be so good together. Bit like Sanchez and Ozil playing together.

Lacca puts in a shift Sally and is a team player but goal scoring is hit and miss, his shot yesterday was heading wide before being spectacularly deflected into the net.
He's a trier and if you could add Auba's finishing to Lanca effort you'd have some striker, but we can't pick and choose the best bits of different people we have to accept everyone as who they are and make a decision based on that not what we want then to be because we like them.

11.) 22 Mar 2021 22:52:59
Agree with G62 in the players who should be shipped out. The only change I would make is by trying to offload PEA first and only if not possible then would let Lacca go. I think the movement we are getting through ESR, Saka Odegaard etc suits Laccas game, and he suits them. PEAs always better running onto goal, but it’s something we just don’t set up. The other player who would be on my ship out list is Xhaka. Yes he has played better recently, but he is still too slow and holds on to the ball far too long. Personally I would love Ward-Prowse in that role. Passes the ball as well as Xhaka but is also much more dynamic in getting the ball forward, and works like a Trojan. It’s also definitely time for Bellerin to move on, with a thanks for your time, and all the very best from the fans. Not quite happened for him, but he is a good player and will do well elsewhere.

Who do (or don't) we want in the next round?

1.) 18 Mar 2021 21:45:25
Spurs please!
Oh.

2.) 18 Mar 2021 21:53:58
I'm hoping for Spurs 😊👌👍.

3.) 18 Mar 2021 21:56:13
Bye? 😎.

4.) 18 Mar 2021 22:04:04
Spurs!
I know this is now an old joke but love it!

I would say Slavia Prague but we will get Ajax or Roma.

5.) 18 Mar 2021 22:17:16
Man Utd, I would love to shut them up.

6.) 18 Mar 2021 22:18:43
It depends on us, we should have a real chance if we can finally get our act together! Villarreal, ajax, roma and utd, being the toughest teams left there's really no one left that are that daunting, if we play well we can beat any of them, but we could also lose to granada or Prague if we play as poorly as we have at times this year! So I'm still not holding out hope! 😂 But if we can win it the worst season imaginable might just be saved!

7.) 18 Mar 2021 23:06:33
I've got terrible feelings it's going to be an all English final.

We will meet United in the final with them already qualified for next seasons champions league and the only thing to play for is Ole's first trophy.

Ringing any bells?

Luckily it's just a feeling and a million miles away from reality, phew 🌚.

8.) 19 Mar 2021 14:27:16
Gunner62 if that was too happen I would have my trust in arteta to out tactic ole.

{Ed077's Note - But how can you overcome VARchester United with Penandes in their team?}

9.) 19 Mar 2021 19:16:31
Unless Ole starts taking his blue pill, he will never get past a semi anyway 😬.

Thanks for replying Ed. It's sad to see a club with unhappy players.

My mistake Ed I meant Wilfried Zaha :) glad to hear things have improved :)

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - Wilifried Zaha (LW/F/RW/AM) The club would like to resist a sale but with funds being tight a good cash offer might have to be considered as his value will no doubt start dropping. PSG have looked previously and like his versatility and see him as an Angel Di Maria replacement who can also take the place of Julian Draxler as an AM if necessary. It is likely that interest has gone in favour of another. Arsenal considered him two years ago and ended up opting for Pepe - there may still be interest but the likely £40M asking price might prove a struggle for the club - and it is enough to keep any other interested clubs away.}

I'm happy to wait and see what happens in the transfer window.

Saying that, I'm not a big fan of coaching during the game. I don't mind the occasional instructions but I reckon it's pretty tough for the experienced players to keep getting instructions all through the game. I hope if Mikel stays this will be addressed.

Is Mikel too inflexible? He certainly plays by his own rules. He said recently (when talking about Bellerin) that you can be friendly as players but not as a manager. I think that was a telling statement. He certainly has no qualms about blocking players, perhaps this means that bridges can't be rebuilt. I think some players would take this sort of discipline as a personal insult and react accordingly.

It's definitely a roller coaster being a Gooner!
