I know some of us are dissapointed with our style of play and I have been a severe critic of Mikel in the past, but f***s 9 points clear 7 games to go, let's just enjoy and embrace the moment.

And I just like to add in the later Wenger years playing all that attractive football, how many prem titles did that bring us? Take care each and everyone of you. COYG. ❤️👍💪

It ain't pretty but it's effective. As a neutral/purist, I'd be disappointed. As a Gooner who cares (for this season only) . Also, if anyone shouts 'Corner FC' Liverpool have more corners per game than us, City the same and Brighton (always comes back to Sussex 🤣) , just one corner per game less. Hardly us playing for corners, it's just we are good at them. I'll forgive MA completely, this style provided we win the Prem on proviso we go back to being the entertainers we were, particularly a couple of seasons ago.

Chelsea under Moanio were hardly entertaining! But winners! Way more 1-0 wins than us this season! Lots of narrative being spouted is lazy. The narrative I want is we are not serial runners up! For that, I forgive and ignore the bitterness! COYG.

Let's give credit where credit is due. Yes, we weren't at our best, but Everton turned up, parked the bus & defended to hit us on the counter, just like a lot of other teams have done against us. And yes, it took a while, but we broke them down, scored two goals, and won the match 2-0.

In seasons gone by, we may have drawn or, worse than that, been beaten 1-0. Yesterday we found a way for 3 massive points. ✔️ On to the next one, one game at a time. COYG/VTH. 🔴⚪️❤️

Back from the game and what a relief! What a goal by young Max. I know a lot of noise has been made about the style of football but the priority has to be to get the league won. Hopefully if it is won, the players and fans can relax a little for next season.

I would like to see us concentrate on a more attacking style of play for next season and become more entertaining. I'm not sold on Viktor one bit. Stating the obvious but a left winger and striker must be the priority for next season.

If Carlsberg did days! The Arse winning, The cheats drawing, Spurs hanging by a thread, and the salty scousers (I don't mean Evertonians) will be out in full force and spitting their bile about how much they hate us! I'll sleep well tonight! 😂.

We don't hate you at all, it is just a tiny percentage of the fan base *cough* AFTV, ruin it for the rest of you. Every fan base has something that creates a stereotype for the rest of us.

Enjoy these last 7 games, it doesn't happen often and it'll be gone before you know it. Savour each game, and the inevitable celebration. There will naturally be a lot of noise, and football across the board isn't attractive right now.

But you cannot fluke a league, and can only beat what's in front of you. No one will care about the football you played when you're talking about the memories!

Although, you may need to buy Pickford a few pints, as without his mistake you drop points and the pressure would have been massive. It's impossible to prove, but if that game went against you yesterday I think it all turns out a little different.

Cheers, WY. Of course I know it's not all Pool fans. Unfortunately, every team has fans that embarrass them, but there's nothing we can do about that.
Like you say, it's about getting it done now and trying to enjoy it. It's not over yet anyway!

Thank you for the post WYred, much appreciated. I feel the same about the 2004 Invincibles; you got to watch them to realise what you missed. The football ain't pretty, but that's par for the league at the moment tbh. We have a few fans that do talk absolute rubbish, and high profile fans like Piers Morgan, who, even though entitled to his opinion, talk garbage.

Once again, appreciate you taking the time to come on here with your views.

Well done Max - that painted over some boring cracks and a terrible game. Painful.

However - we win and City drew.

That’s a big step towards the title and boy did I love Max’s goal, energy and celebration.

How many of the other 9 would have done that or run to the corner flag or kept possession.

Probably 8 - Rice the exception.

Score a goal like that and then off to school on Monday - wow.

Let’s not start him - bring him on when players are tired and teams stretched.

For us older lot. Mickey T away at Liverpool by a country mile. I was there. The experience will be forever etched in my soul. I've actually got goosebumps as I text this short message. And, for any of our younger posters that never experienced that magical night, go treat yourself and watch the best title decider in the history of the old First Division.

Oh what a night. Never forget the massive goal that Alan Smudger Smith scored to set us on our way, and Steve McMahon holding up 1 finger, telling the Liverpool fans 1 minute to go. Mickey gets the ball, and the rest, as they say, my friends, is history. Oh what a night. 🔴⚪️❤️
