The salary on offer dwarfs any number Real would pay him. He’s already on 190k pw and this blows it out the water. Real had already moved on due to the size of contract. Sure that plays a bit as would him hoping to win stuff with us.

Not really - I had read that the amount we were offering Saliba had suprised Real and made them move on. It doesn’t mean that he’s unhappy or that he’s fully on board with Arteta but I’m sure the amount of money agreed has had a sway on both sides of the fence and its disingenuous to think it’s all about one of them ; money or his love of Everything Arteta but you can believe that if you wish. I read that Real had mov3 in because of the money.

I couldn’t care less of the what's and wherefors one of our best players has signed. Real do pay if they rate players but obviously didn’t rate Willy enough which is our gain! You don’t say no to Real yep you do! Rudiger left on a free hence big wages so a moot point. Just very happy he’s signed not looking too deeply into it COYG.

G4E - thank you. At least I have an opinion, shared it over the years and guess what. A lot of it is being thrown at Arteta now - bottle job, tactics, in game management etc… I am very happy that he’s signed - yes, excellent news. But why throw in “the players must back Arteta, ” I am just saying the massive wage increase that Real couldn’t compete with will have had a say in it and why do we overpay on wages. Who else would pay Kai and Trossard what we did. We struggle to sell eg Zin. So we pay Kai the same wage as Isak! Is that competitive or stupid. This Pro-Arteta bandwagon is coming to an end. I guess you were one of those people who never thought Kai was any good but once Arteta overpaid for him - he’s better than slice bread because you have to agree with everything he does.
I am a novice and don’t know a lot but I have conviction. I have praised him, the players etc but I am critical. How about you think for yourself and share an
opinion., stay away from personal digs and post something sensible yourself.
It’s a banter site not a school yard. Very so often you pop up and have a dog saying I’m not a fan or know crap. Who knows, I might surprise you…
