Didn't want to post last night in fear of knee jerk things being said. However after sleeping on it sod it I've got to ask. Are we ever going to win the league under arteta. I'm by no means an arteta out person however he is starting to make me doubt him.

Mainly the very very negative approaches he keeps taking. It's like all of our creative players have had it coached out of them. Ironically madueke I thought was Positive as was eze but is that because he hasn't set his marker on them yet. Feel like if we was braver and took the game to Liverpool we really couldn't have made a statement.

Easily said after the game but I feel nwaneri should've started number 10 ( does he not like nwaneri? ) and eze should've started over the very very impact less martenelli. And lastly bringing dowman on into that game seemed a stupid move. Way too big of an ask for a 15 year old.

To end on a positive note. Mosquera looked amazing I thought.

Rant over.

Nothing wrong in that rant D16 but it was the game that we should have made a statement but Arteta chose not to. Mosquera look a great buy and Timber was excellent.
Like you I am not a Arteta out person but as I and several other posters on here have said his tactics and his substitutions leave a lot to be desired at times.
It is early days but we could have made a big statement but choose not to and to say I was effing frustrated would be a understatement.

Like yourself I too did not want to post yesterday. Not happy with the result. Looking back on it would have been better to go all out. However its our 3rd game in the season away to the champions. This was a massive game and both teams would have been happy with a draw. Liverpool away is never an easy done deal. Remember a few years what happened with tottenham when we went all out when all we really needed was a draw.

Swings and round abouts hopefully we can put forest away and Mancity and newcastle not looking strong enough. Before the game everyone was talking about how liverpool are weak as they have to bed their players in, has someone forgotten we need time to bed our players too. We are using a complete new system which the regular players are not used to.

Ontop of that all our players are getting injuered are they all carrying injuries from last season and not fully fit what is happening to the team. We have a strong team now and as long as we stick behind the team I am sure we will be bringing home the silver.

Speedy recovery to the injured and stay strong the rest.

Losing Saliba so early was a blow I reckon. And Saka and Havertz and White and Odegaard not fully fit as well. I know we have brought in good players to cover the injuries so hopefully we will push on now. I didn't see the game but all the pundits are saying it was a boring game from both sides. Both nervous to lose it seemed.

Nothing to do with those injured as we have replacements for all, his starting line up has left everyone head scratching.

Agree with all the points above. I just think arteta has a lot to answer for he makes very very safe decisions if you ask me and that doesn't win you the league. Liverpool have looked weak at the back and we didn't really test that back line enough. By no means am I saying get arteta out but he must do better in my opinion. Especially with the team we now have.

Mikel has absolutely nothing to lose by throwing caution to the wind and going for it in every game from now on. There are no more excuses given the squad he and the club have now put together, if he fails to win anymore games playing the style of football he played yesterday the pressure on him will will become unsustainable and he'll have to go any way.

The only thing he will regret more than getting sacked is getting sacked without having had a go.

He’s a wet lettuce who has and will cost us trophies due to his stubbornness, ridged style of play and phobia of losing rather than obsession with winning.

I’m not jumping on the bandwagon - been saying this for ages.

Who on the coaching staff is an attack minded support for him? Who can challenge him?

Eze was fit

Ode was fit enough to be on bench

Merino is slow and never really going to create or inject pace into the side

Zubi is way off the epl pace

Arteta has murdered the real Martinelli and replaced him with a person who is scared to attack

Viktor looked like an awkward statue upfront offering as much service as he got - zero. How can you feed a striker when the midfield pass more to the goalie than him? Pathetic.

Transfers amazing but TOO SLOW for start of season and lack of EPL experience plus require complete change in tactics from a manager with limited tactics except to pass backwards - always going to be a challenge

Wake up Arteta - we are the mighty Arsenal and play to win wherever we go.

Have you read the story of the Emperors new clothes.

Hope he turns it around but this “Don” crap and “trust the process” or “Arteta knows best” or “at least I’m not watching from behind a cushion any more” or “they tried hard our boys”: it is just rose tinted glasses or such an embarrassing low bar for a big side that’s spent 1Bn to support the new manager. What return would you expect?

Keep you standards high and let’s hope we have or we get a manager to meet them. Don’t lower them so he does meet them.

Still plenty time to go but lots to change.
