There was lots of nice stuff to watch, some not so nice stuff, and some confusing stuff.
Partey at RB? Worked, kinda, in the first half, but definitely the weak spot in the second half.
There were times Rice seemed composed, and times when he looked a little nervous. Overall, not a bad first game for him. Loved the few cheeky shots at goal.
What position is Havertz playing? I'm not getting it. I can't even remember him being involved in play.
Much the same as last season. We seem incapable of seeing out games without drama.
But we won! COYG!
Young Marti! It looked like such great skill, but did he mean the pass? If he did - wow! Saka's goal was top top quality!

Alright sharpie, another thing I noticed is we are playing to slow at the back, I wish we could take it up a notch
Not sure about Kai’s position but then again I wasn’t sure about the rest of the players position.

Good Assesment. Party at RB is a definitely no for me (Not enough pace for a start) ok got away with it today as we dominated the ball anyway but we will be definitely exploited more as a weak point against better teams when we loss the ball on the turnover. Just play him where he belongs in the centre with Rice in first place rather him coming as an awkward inverted full back to overload the middle. It don't make sense to me, it's one player trying to cover two positions really ain't it and that's how we going to get caught out. I even think we get caught out too many times when the more natural Zinchenko does it not a fan of it really tbh.
Its going take time for Arteta to work out where best to fit in Kai tbh i think, but i certainly don't see him as central midfielder, More a false 9 floating striker for me.
Yeah confident Rice will find his feet with each game just getting used to his new teammates and our patterns of play. Timber already looks a a key member of the squad his versatility across the back line is going help massively this season. Its great having a defenders than are comfy in both back 4 and back 3 we can adapt on fly much easier then.

Seems like Arteta is determined to ride or die by the inverted FB! Even when Zinchenko is unavailable, shoehorn some poor sap into a position they can't play! ?.
