Hi, super window. Still need a proper LW though but at least we got Eze with some star quality and strengthened the squad also. That move felt forced though due to Kai injury.
I really can’t give it a 10 though. We worked way too many deals, ended up with our second choice striker and because we messed around he’s clearly not bedded in or match fit. This should have been done weeks ago but we seem to want to work about 4 different deals at once to negotiate. This could cost us and we need players bedded in sooner. So that’s not a perfect 10 - too slow. The other piece is we need to sell and we haven’t so that makes it far from perfect. 10 is perfect.
It’s our best window in ages, some amazing signings, some risks but slow and we risk an unhappy dressing room due to not selling.
So a super 7.5/ 10 for me with a bit of reason to support the slightly negative score in some peoples eyes. Sure someone will post its 2 opinions and I always moan. Well I’m not easily fully pleased and have high standards - we’ve had a great window but not perfect by any stretch. With that said - some amazing signings ( balance) .
Hopefully Viktor has a better game Vs Leeds and Ode figures out how to play a fast simple forward pass plus can look left as well as right.
Then just need Arteta to have some in game tactics - interesting that he’s practicing changing in training by switching Saka to left occasionally. Wow 101 tactics at last. ( those two were negative - yes. But true )

Glenn, I do give feedback an opinion that can be negative but I also post positive stuff where I believe is appropriate. Saying it’s 10 out of 10 is sheer rosetinted pro-club bollox in my opinion. It’s far from a perfectly executed window and there are question marks about Viktor. Signings were really slow and we have an over paced changing room. I did state the signings were strong. I did tap into my stereotype with my comment about his in game mgt. very true but not needed. I’m opinionated bud. A lot of my opinions are also mirrored by many fans, ex players, pros and commentators. Some are complete bollox too
Think I’ve posted a good few positive posts. What did Keane say about our performance and Artetas issues. Anyway - I bit. I just want a well run, entertaining game play, attack minded and tactically astute club who fill the required holes in a timely fashion. Simple ? Hi Ed025

There lies your problem. If that’s your yardstick then Arteta is brilliant and all is perfect. I remember the early Wenger years but to be honest est I look at what’s required today to make us great and that’s the only way we can become great. What are the best of the best doing and how do we out do it Vs how rubbish were things at our lowest point. One sets a high standard the other makes you happy regardless., which one is more likely to drive the club forward. How do you think we got in that mess before - no ambition, not investing, low standards and zero accountability.
I love the club - want us to win. Have high standards and genuinely hope (but don’t think he can get us there) Arteta wins the league with us.

It’s not my problem Sy, you seem to have the problem. I’m happy with what we have. Arteta isn’t brilliant, and everything isn’t perfect……. but it’s still probably our best transfer window ever.

I jumped on your 10/ 10 comment - sorry. The Arteta know best crew that think all he does is perfect, signings perfect, tactics perfect, the fact we “try now” just get to me and I jumped on you. It’s ridiculous he has this level of following but it’s equally ridiculous I jumped on you sir….
