Stating the obvious but we had too many draws last season and the need for a striker is glaringly obvious. But who? Dublin is saying we have Gyokeres but I keep coming back to thinking no Prem clubs in for him when at Coventry and the league he plays in where Darwin Nunez had a similar record and look how he has struggled. Barely a good word said about him on Liverpool page. Sesko stats are underwhelming ( not saying he won`t thrive here) but the pressure on the new Arsenal Striker will be immense - is he good enough and more importantly does he have the character to fire us to the title? Not for me. Osimhen I just read trouble gold digger. Reason why very few top teams in for him and after a stellar season he then played in Turkish league.
We scored 69 goals last season patently not enough but often playing with bench players who did manfully ( Nwaneri and Tross) but we need way more goals from the left and the striker. I would get the best left sided winger we can - Williams / Mitoma? I would take a punt on Watkins, a Gooner who scores and assists and Prem proven. Big price doesn`t always mean success just read Lukaku, Pogba Nunez Anthony, Sancho and our own Pepe. Just not excited by Sesko Gyokeres or Osimhen. So in conclusion £50mill Watkins Williams/ Mitoma plus maybe one DM and if MLS not seen as that answer - I personally do see him doing a good job there COYG and sorry for War and Peace. Buzzing for the coming season going to be the usual rollercoaster.

Looks like Jesus has earned himself an additional year…. reports we are discussing an extension. Perhaps we are protecting our asset but he’s an expensive sub and no super sub like Perry Groves was.
Watkins should be signed but we still need another proper striker.
Agree about left wing.
We need a 25 epl goal striker plus another 4 players chipping in with 10. Goals need to be flowing as does our football.

Injuries and age means I would hate to pay 60m for him but wish we’d put a counter offer in in Jan.
Probably right but I don’t believe Unai and he had to say that really.
As a back up striker - that would be a proper option off bench and take pressure of a non epl striker getting up to speed this year. It took Henry and DB10 a while to score I think and we don’t have that room next season.
{Ed014's Note - I think we set our limit and stuck to it, he couldn’t have played in the Champions League either.
I’d be surprised if we went back to be honest.

Mateo Retegui is apparently an option Andrea Berta likes.
He's an exceptionally talented striker who ticks a lot of boxes but the relationship between his success and Atalanta's style is difficult to analyse. Gapserini definitely gets the most out of his attackers.

Does anyone think though that we could be saying end of this next season that next year is our year because Sesko Gyokeres and Osimhen are adjusting to the Prem? Chris Wood maybe ( only joking) COYG 15 goals from left wing and striker in prem would put us there or there abouts! #tielemansanyone (14) ?.

Shame Ed as taking a player from slower / inferior leagues is a big gamble and they don’t have a honeymoon period now.
{Ed014's Note - it’s all a gamble SY to be honest, unless you’re buying a worldie, Watkins can be hit and miss, not as much as Jesus though.
Let’s just see what happens.

Hahahah Sus. i did say before Tielemans signed for Villa that I'd take him. That being said, would you take him in our team? If so, where would he fit? If not to take him, why no?
