Good morning all Ed's and fellow gunners. absolutely fantastic result last night. it is only half time in the the double header and you can never take things for granted in the champions league but if we play like last night we've definitely given ourselves a chance of progressing. Declan rice wow and wow, two absolute worldy free kicks.100% got to keep him on free kicks. and I know some people don't rate merino. But please don't forget he's still bedding in at the ARSENAL (great goal) . I thought he looked very good last night as did all the others. big shout out to partey who was at he's absolute best protecting the back four and always trying to get us on the front foot. the whole team was great. and for all the ARTETA doubters. I myself have never been one. give the guy some credit. first ever managerial post of his career at such a huge club which don't forget was an absolute toxic mess when he took over. he totally understands most of all. the fans and traditions of what we represent at the ARSENAL. VICTORY THROUGH HARMONY delivered in abundance last night. my youngest lad was watching with me last night decked out in his full home kit and he was absolutely ecstatic. He looked at me early in the first half and said dad arsenal are doing o. k aren't they I'm going 2 or 3-0 to the ARSENAL to which I replied really mate.2-0 would be awesome buddy 3-0 would out of this world. he then winked at me and said we got this dad. ?. so fellow guns to each and everyone of you. keep smiling, be lucky and have a great day. ???THESE STREETS ARE OUR OWN, AND MY HEART WILL LEAVE YOU NEVER??? ONE TEAM/ THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️.

Hello Gabs mate hope you are all good. Hope last night was the start of some fantastic memories for your young lad.
The players were immense
As you already said Deckers and Partey plus Kiwor never put a foot wrong. Arteta got the players and tactics right, the fans were absolutely banging.
I am old silver top of 68 and have followed Arsenal 60 odd years and last night was up with some of the best games I have seen, second half off the scale.
Take care Gabi mate.

Morning bill. alls good my friend. hope alls well for you and family. I’m over the moon with last nights result. but we have to remember Real Madrid away is still going to be one hell of a tough assignment. still think we need a goal or two to be certain. but that’s just my opinion. the reason real have won it so many times is because they massive know how and experience in turning these situations around. oh, & they definitely have the players. next weeks return leg is massive. but if we play with the same harmony as last night… then anything is achievable. COYG/ VTH?⚪️❤️.

Absolutely spot on Gabs.

What a game we really did play them off the field. For me every single player on the pitch and the subs, the manager, the coaching staff and the fans in attendence did their job and played football that was truly enjoyable.
Like you say this is only the first half the second half to come next week and I can't wait. Hopefully you will have your son watching and can be our lucky charm.
Going to bernabeau is not going to be easy and we need to make sure we turn up. play like yesterday and we are in the semis anything less and its going to game on in their favour.
What ever the result I am and will be a proud Arsenal supporter at the end behind the team and the manager.

Obviously not making the simi final now would be absolutely devastating (I think it's unlikely that we won't make) but even if that was to happen, nothing would take away last night and the wonderful emotions we all experienced watching our Arsenal dominate the mighty 15 times champions of Europe, Real Madrid.
Fans don't get physical medals. It's memories that we get and last night is one we should treasure and look back on foundly for a very long time ????.
09 Apr 2025 17:21:02
Well said g62. that result last night will live in the memory bank for a long, long time. just like smudged smith and Micky Thomas, and rambos cup final heroics.
09 Apr 2025 17:48:46
Don’t worry it’s only Ray Palour… Alan Sunderland 1979, Villa FA Cup Final, Wiltord winning league at Old Trafford, Henry turning the game Vs Liverpool in Invincible year etc etc - our great club has plenty super memories that it’s gifted us all.

Hi Gabi wonderful memories mate ?
Despite all the challenges and set backs we've faced this season we've still managed to play City and Real Madrid off the park producing both results and performances against very top opposition that would have been totally unthinkable just short while ago. We may or may not get a trophy this season but for me personally being able to watch The Arsenal play very top opponents sat very firmly on the couch rather than hiding behind it brings is a wonderful thing to have back again.
09 Apr 2025 19:09:57
Just think what we may have achieved this season if we hadn’t had so many injuries to key players at key times… taking all that into consideration, we’ve not done too bad this season…COYG/ VTH.
09 Apr 2025 19:32:24
Hi Gabi, I think this season regardless of how it end's up will stand us in very good stead moving forward. How was last night was an incredible thing to witness but the most incredible thing about last night was that it was achieved with so many players missing.
Without all the injuries who knows what might have happened but what we do know for sure is that even with all the injuries we are still top 2 in the league and we have one foot very well placed in the Champions league semi final ????
We might end up with no silverware and we could yet end up with no champions league semi final but few would argue with the fact that this Arsenal are once again a very formidable force whether at full strength or not.

It’s a memory 62 yes but pointless if we don’t finish the job or win a medal. It’s like a great 1st half. The best memories are games that really put something in the cabinet or on the way to it. Not being down on Arteta but the great great memories are meaningful. This will always be a great European night but less if the story doesn’t end well.
10 Apr 2025 19:30:33
It's not pointless for me Sy, i really really enjoyed Tuesday night from start to finish and most of the following day too.
If we don't go on to win the trophy will a time vortex suddenly appear and totally erase Tuesday 8th of April 2025 from history? Will all video evidence cease to exist and will Rice's two free kicks be totally erased from mine and all human beings everywheres memories?
Maybe your entire happiness is totally dependent on silverware but as I've said to so many times before we are totally different people, we see and value people and life in very very different ways to each other.

I really really enjoyed it and was buzzing the day after also.
But it’s just halftime. We were top of the league 3 seasons ago at Xmas but meant nothing really. Who talks about the best half of football.
Remember that night back in 2025 when we smashed Real, yea - bloody awesome. Shame about the second leg though…. It would then just be another what if…
I never said it wouldn’t exist - that’s crazy in fact I said it’s still a memory if you check. You are putting words into my mouth.
I’m not saying it’s was an awesome night but ultimately if we don’t do the job away from home then it is pointless as it didn’t progress us. That’s my point. A meaningful result by definition makes it more significant. Turning up for half a game is pointless. No different to beating City than losing to Villa or a Fulham. It makes the win less valued as you didn’t capitalise on it. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t great or enjoyable but it’s a competition and you must capitalise on your advantage. What’s the point in winning all your away games if you draw all home games. Pointless in the grand scheme of things but some were enjoyable and you can take the one sided arguement bugging up how great we were away from home etc which is true.
You may not agree with me but I’d think you can understand it.
10 Apr 2025 20:59:57
I’m still buzzing not just a 24 hour fix.
10 Apr 2025 21:17:46
conversely It could be one of the greatest nights in our history. The night that put fear into our opponents and belief into the team that went on to have the biggest night in our clubs’s history when we lift the Champions League League Trophy.
Clearly and to be clear - that’s what I want even though some think I’m against the club or Arteta,
Im sure you would quote something about winning a battle Vs the war or something like in this case…. we’ve handsomely and convincingly won a battle as it stands. I’m enjoying the battle but know there’s a long way to go to win the war.
10 Apr 2025 21:18:02
Abraham Lincoln apparently once said " most people are about as happy as they themselves make up their minds they are going to be "
I think you have for the past 3 seasons been living testimony to the wisdom in those words, regardless of whoever truly first said them.
What are your conditions that must be met before you will agree to allow yourself to be happy? And if your conditions are not met in full, what then? Just how committed are you to being unhappy if you don't get what you want when you want it?
10 Apr 2025 22:16:04
I am happy bud.
I can enjoy the games for what they are and as long as we keep improving that’s good.
I love watching experts in their craft and take joy from it. A talk show host, tennis, golf - Federer being a great example of a winner.
If the opportunity arises through luck, investment, timing or hardworking. You need to take it. As every winner says - it’s the winning not the taking part. Those who don’t compete say it’s the taking part.
We should have won the league but we bottled it. Twice, more so the first time. Both were unexpected but the opportunity was there. So frustration is perfectly natural. As is acknowledgement that we improved. Which side of that coin is down to individuals. I want to win and know how hard it is to win the epl as you keep saying. I agree so even more frustrated as opportunity won’t always be there.
This season we’ve been pretty painful to watch not due to injuries but negative sideways predictable play orchestrated by Arteta and how he defends first. He is to blame for lack of attacking options while injuries haven’t helped. Expectations were high and he fell short in league. He’s brought us forward but needs to answer questions as he do need to win a trophy.
I’m happy though and football won’t make or break my life as I’ve got a great family, successful career and enjoy a good life with my loved ones. However, at work I want to be the best and hold myself to that same standard. If I hold me to high standards then I can hold Arteta to high standards. Nothing wrong with wanting to be the best. It’s tough but that’s life and it’s not for some. I get that. If I work hard then I can expect as a minimum that the players work hard and that’s minimum expectation.
If we don’t get what I want eg a trophy. I seriously hope the board have the ambition and balls to make the appropriate change. They didn’t with Wenger and were happy getting into Europe every year and not competing. That annoyed me and fell out of love with the game as I wanted to win more than the club. As long as the owners who have invested heavily to drive success continue to do that BUT also ask serious questions if we don’t deliver silverware then I can’t ask for more.
Think he may have said - Stand with anybody that stands right. Stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong.
he also said - I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have.

I’m still buzzing Mal.
