Arteta, same amount of trophies as Pochettino and in fewer games!

Never! G62. Unimaginable, a loser from the lane!

No offence 911C4 but your trophy count on both Emery and Luiz was pointless as neither get us what we need - points.

Absolutely mate, Artetta is unbeaten in the premier and champions leagues throughout his managerial career, while of course his premier recod has to go at some point I think he can retain his champions league reord for many many years yet :-) .

Rg a few weeks ago you were crying out for pochetinho lol, you bragged emery up with his impressive cv and he won absolutely nothing mate, you've got arteta we've got the special one 😁.

Joking aside SY4, I have serious concerns about employing a coach who has never managed before, never mind in the PL.
I will be fully behind Arteta of course. Do I think it’s the correct appointment? Nope, but then again who thought appointing George Graham from Millwall or Wenger from a Japanese’s club would have been the correct appointments. Emery and Luiz’s trophy hauls speak for themselves. Taking over the mess left by Gazidis and Wenger was a tall order.

Raver61 - you know I am a huge fan of Mourinho, who is a serial trophy winner. Although, he has his work cut out to win a trophy at trophy-less toot.

Pochettino did a fine job at the toot, but history will show he failed to win a single trophy. It would have been interesting to see if he could have lifted a trophy at Arsenal, who have a history of winning trophies.

Emery has won trophies and he had a decent first season Arsenal. Of course, the drawback with Mourinho is that it almost inevitably ends in tears and he will need the funds to rebuild toot, particularly if players depart at the end of their contracts.

I fail to understand the extremely risky appointment of Arteta, who has no managerial experience, in what is a tough task. I will of course support him and pray I am wrong. Rafa Benitez was another appointment I would have wanted.

Understanding The Artetta appointment is easy, nobody else wanted the job not Ancelotti Allegri Poch, that's not being Disrespectful to Artetta that's just saying it how it is but every now and again having to accept what you can get rather than what you wanted can work out surprisingly well so let's hope that's the case for us and Artetta.

Rg we were 14th when jose took over, a win on Sunday and we are back in the champions league places, Arsenal are guaranteed Thursday night football yet again next season.

Raver61 - I wish we were guaranteed EL football next season! I remain very concerned, is Arteta the correct appointment? I am not at all sure. I cannot recall a coach who has never managed, taking over and succeeding at a club the size of Arsenal in the PL.
I had/ have no doubt Mourinho will do well, but will he win a trophy at trophy-less toot?
