Granit Xhaka has to be the biggest fraudster in the whole of the world and the worst buy for Arsenal, way ahead of Mustaffi. What gonk bought them. The guy was made a captain of a top German club at a very young age, captain of his (well adopted) country and captain for us. We look a disaster in defence waiting to happen (still players to come in) but one of the biggest reasons for the way we look and the way we play is down to the lack of footballing ability and the liability of Xhaka.
I will go as far as to say Xhaka is one of the worst footballers to ever play for AFC. So what is it that the managers of all the clubs that he has been under, including Emery, see in him. He is a bigger liability than mustaffi ever was, so Emery, open your eyes now and get the fraud out of the team because he will let you down.
Whatever you think he gives us, he takes it all away because he is a disaster waiting to happen. We lost today and was put under extreme pressure nummerous times by xhakas lack of ability to tackle. The way we play we need a midfielder to protect the defence, not compromise them.
Everyone makes mistakes in football, that's football but when you make mistakes and they are serious and stupid every week, it needs removing. If he remains in Emerys plans, he will be the downfall of him, he is that poor. He will let you down! Its your call, on your head be it.
On the other side of the coin, how good was Gouendouzi? I know it may look silly but when fit Holding needs to be socs partner (or chambers need a run at center back or holding mid) and a midfield containing Gouendouzi and Luiz or Chambers.
Or three at the back with a midfield four of Gouendouzi, torreira, ceballos and Luiz/ chambers. It would then have protection and creativity. Maybe it will all develop over the next few months when more players will be available but Xhaka has to go!

Steve, let’s make note of the date where we both agree. I still can’t work out Xhaka and why he plays ( height / experience / Age etc ) . Every time we face a big club because we don’t have the right balance in midfield - we end up playing 3 players to do a two man job which leaves limited creativity. Then you add that they all either run round like kids or tackle like kids. Our midfield is our biggest issue which if solved right will really help the back 3 or 4 immensely.
1. Get Luiz who was also disastrous for the goal, out of defence
### Papa Chambers Holding ### with Mavropanos as back up, then me then Luiz
2. Beef up midfield and add some flair at the same time
### Torriera Luiz as the hub with Ceballos slightly in front in the MIDDLE to keep the ball, speed up our methodical lacklustre directionless football and feed the guys up front ###
3. Stick with the 3 up front and find an option quick fir the bench as the bench is strikerless
### PEA / Laca and Pépé ###
Tell Pépé to chill and goals will come. It took Henry 9 games to score
4. Buy the goalie some new gloves
5. Fxxxing coach the team and have a plan A please.
6. If you can’t get your message across to the team from the touchline - figure out how you address it going forward. Pull your captain over or wait for a break in play
7. Get a real captain
8. Stop messing with the set up - you’ve had 40 odd games plus friendlies plus hours in training. If you don’t - visit this site and i’m sure between us and the Eds we can point out some obvious errors you make
We can blame individual errors but the team has no discipline and invited trouble onto themselves. Then the errors kicked in.

Great fight back although we should not have needed to fight back especially at home and Spurs injuries and Spurs start to the season.

Xhaka will remain a starter mate that’s a fact but I just don’t get what people see in him he’s a bag of.

So far Emery is having none of it mate and has made Xhaka his captain, only 2 players are guaranteed to start each game and they are Leno and Xhaka.

I predict, its xhaka or emery. If xhaka keeps playing, Emery will be gone because we won't improve with him. If xhaka is replaced, our midfield will look more solid. Whatever these people think they see in him, they are wrong, he is an absolute fraud of a footballer. Ultimately Emery or his replacement will get rid of xhaka, its just which one.

“Some mistakes we can have. I want to use to progress and improve and learn.

Sounds like someone who is in denial to me SY, being wrong about something or someone is a very common thing in all humans but refusing to admit and change it is a weakness that isn't common in successful people, ok Donald Trump is the exception to that rule.
