Wondering about £55m on a 20 year old. Looks class from what I’ve seen. Wonder about Tarkovsky for the half price of Upamecano though.

I watched the Leipzig Aston Villa game at the weekend, and remember thinking what a beast the Leipzig defender was, and that's exactly the sort of player we need. At that time i didn't realise who that defender was, and that we actually are after him!

Did anyone hear the Tyrone Mings interview on TalkSport the other night?
He lived with his family in a homeless shelter when he was young. Struggled to get work, eventually took exams to become a mortgage advisor then got signed to Ipswich (I think) . When asked 'when did you think you'd made it as a footballer' he said "I had been driving a Citroen Saxo at the time and it was awful. I had bought it for £100 and it had 120K miles on it. I signed for Ipswich and I got a brand new Vauxhall Corsa. At the time I was like, 'wow, if this is what football is like I want more of it'".

That's one of the best things about football it really can be a platform for youngsters living in poverty to lift themselves and their families from struggling on a daily basis to a comfortable standard of living.
It's excellent he hasn't forgotten his roots as far too many young players so easily do now days.
