Reading that Sevilla are interested in Pepe, be great for him to get a fresh start. Any other news on outgoings? I see that Bellerin and Torreria have been heavily involved in the US tour, could they be staying? I think they still have a place at Arsenal.

Hector Bellerin was woeful last night. I lost count how many times he ran the ball out of play and he kopped out early in the second half and just resorted to persistent fouling on Gordon before the guy could get turned and expose him.
When he did actually run with purpose into their box he lost the run of the ball completely and fouled.
A complete step backwards if he stays, he’s had ample time and opportunity and isn’t up to it, as much as I’d loved to have seen him kick on because he's never let the club down as an individual.
I think the arrival time of Tomiyasu has highlighted how poor we’ve been in this position since Sagna left.
Torreira should be given a chance but Arteta seems very harsh on him for some reason. Like he’s a better all round player than Elneny yet Arteta gives him no chance. That’s a weird one.

The Bellerin one is weird. On the one hand, he was obviously good for Betis, as a starter in many of their games in a historic season for them. On the other, he's clearly been pretty poor since he lost his pace with the ACL tear and has been getting cooked time and again by average wingers. Clearly Betis didn't feel he was good enough for them to take up their option. I think even Cedric played better than Hector.
As for Torreira, I think he's mostly burnt his bridges with us so it's probably a question of putting him in the shop window. I still think he's a good player though. Would like to see him give it a proper go, without all the caustic comments about us.

As Ed keeps mentioning, we can’t keep signing more and more players without letting some go. I can’t see either being in our plans, and surely they are just being played in these friendlies so they remain in the shop window?
