Made me go Whaaaaaaaat!! So checked Bill and all I got was £55mill plus 5Mill to Saudi team. Not unreasonable for 24 year old Dutch international. £80 Mill would be bonkers. New sales talk is 2 x Summervilles = one Anderson or one Rogers. Totally agree, even at my figures, the game's gone. Until we spend gazillions on a LW, of course. Coyg.

Everyone and everything that is for sale is only worth what someone, somewhere, is prepared to pay for it.
I wonder what happened to all those old car tyres that people called art and sold for a fortune in the 70s. I'm guessing the buyers eventually ended up paying someone to take them away and get rid of them.
