But to be fair we've been linked to countless players who were never going to come to us in the first place. If we got upset every time a player we were linked with by the media had a good game we'd drive ourselves mad.

You say that Ed. But wasnt it leaked later on that we had a bid rejected for him.
{Ed047's Note - yes I seem to remember that too and I wasn’t putting a downer on Pepe with my 🤦â€â™‚ï¸ as I still have some hope for him it was just we so needed a quality defender and £70 million on Upamecano would have made much more sense.
