Everyone that' wants wenger out. How would you react if he said today I will not be renewing my contract and leaving at the end of the season. Would you get behind him more knowing he's leaving? Would that ease the anger and let you enjoy his previous success rather than his more recent failures? Had me thinking that one.

We are in a precarious position mate, 13 league games left and none could be classed as easy even if we were in any kind of form, which we are clearly not.

I would be amazed if Wenger announced anything but with the team devoid of confidence, Koscielny out with a hamstring injury and so many players looking lost and the likelihood of a toxic crowd at the Emirates things are pretty much as bad as they can get.

Whilst we are nowhere near relegation, teams down there get sucked into a downward spiral and fail to lift themselves out of it, we currently look like a team in that situation and who do we have to inspire us?

I'd love nothing more than him to go out on any kind of high but can anyone see where that's going to come from.

My beloved Arsenal were once a force. Now we are only also-rans. Arsene is one of us. He loves the club too but he is taking on too much. Maybe he thinks he can't trust the people above him to run the club. I would have to agree with him if he did. But it is time to go nonetheless.

We have an absentee owner who charges us 3mil quid for the privilege. Says nothing. Attends 1 or 2 games a year. He has appointed Gazidas to grow us commercially. We have dropped from 2ND to 5th biggest club commercially in his short 7 years here. The move to the Emirates would have us competing with Bayern he said. Enough of this fool

We have Dick Law on the transfers front. Every month we have a new player who we 'could' have signed. It's all repetitive. It's maddening. Now I am not at the Emirates as often as I would like but I can't bear to see what is happening this proud club.

An announcement of this being Arsenes last season asap would negate the need for any demonstrations and also put an end to the media mileage certain journalists are enjoying.
I have for more than 4 years been in favour of a change of manager but find it extremely sad to see what's happening right now with Arsene where even his biggest backers like Martin Keowen who have in the past been 100% in Arsenes corner now saying it's time for change.
In his first decade Arsene gave Arsenal the best years the club has ever known but unfortunately for too many years now he has been dinning out on past achievements rather than being capable of delivering a big prize changeling team.
Arsene should have gone out on a high with the fa cup win against Hull but unfortunately he was given and accepted a contract to far in my opinion.
Let's turn the rest of this season regardless of results between now and May into a celebration of that wonderful first decade.

{Ed025's Note - good post that G62..

Gunner, you know I agree with you, we both said at the time that should have been his swansong.

I don't think it'd be wise to announce now that he's leaving if he was planning on doing. Look what happened to Man City when Pellegrini announced Pep was taking over, their form dropped off badly.

It'd be most sensible to announce it shortly before the clubs last home game of the season, therefore giving the fans a chance to give Wenger the send off he deserves.

I think Alan smith is right.

Cheers Ed0025 mate, we've all had different veiws on Arsene in the past but I think if an announcement could be made sooner rather than later we could all not just Arsenal fans but all fans across the country come together and unite to celebrate a man who has been brilliant for not just Arsenal but for English football too.

{Ed025's Note - thats right G62, arsenal fans and all football fans should be very grateful for all that the great man has done for the EPL and football in general, i never thought i would ever say this but in my view its time for him to leave arsenal and either retire or take a director of football post somewhere, i know it will be a massive wrench for arsene to leave the gooners but i would hate it if he were to go under a cloud and there being protests and placards with "wenger out" mate..
