Normally I would prefer to have pts in the bag than having a game or 2 in hand. But on reflection I'm happy that the Southampton game is postponed. Hopefully they win it and that is there job done for the season. We will have a break at a good time in the season. We will be refreshed and hopefully be the stronger for it.

If all the results that weekend go our way, i think it could be good for us, if they dont, i don't see it helping us at all, it just puts even more pressure on the situation and boost the others thinking.

2.) 06 Feb 2017 19:51:12
City and Man u won't be playing league that weekend. Hopefully spurs and Liverpool have a bad one.

3.) 06 Feb 2017 21:45:24
First week in February, about 14 games left and we are talking about top 4, not top spot.

Not a dig at you boys, just shows how bad we are at moment.

4.) 06 Feb 2017 22:12:46
Dags we can't talk about the title, even for those who thought we could win, that's now gone. You know the film.

5.) 06 Feb 2017 22:59:22
Steve,
Groundhog Day?

6.) 06 Feb 2017 23:16:27
The title was gone against City. Just would have clawed our way back into the reckoning if results went our way. They didn't. I think it is time to start planning for next season. The next couple of months should only decide which of our average players stays next season under our new manager.

7.) 06 Feb 2017 23:23:25
Dags, could be rocky, cool runnings, any given Sunday. Hard to know which film, Steve, is talking about haha.

8.) 06 Feb 2017 23:32:30
Ireland,
Or Gone with the wind mate.
Like our title challenge.

9.) 07 Feb 2017 07:12:26
Any slim chance of the title went with the loses to City and Everton. The team is beyond weak. Unfortunately it's not just Wenger who needs to go but the complete dough bake who owns the club. Zero ambition, zero interest and a ridiculous moustache. 😡.

10.) 07 Feb 2017 08:58:13
I think the moustache is fake too 😂.

As long as Ngolo Kante is playing in the premier league and not for us, then the League title will elude us.

Some people know a class player, when they see one and some dont. We could and should have got him.

2.) 01 Feb 2017 17:31:17
Steve many of us would have loved him here but ed02 has stated on a number of occasions he was going nowhere other than Chelsea so there was never a chance he was coming here unfortunately.

3.) 01 Feb 2017 19:16:58
Stoner, i'm sure ed 02 is correct but in feb last year henry winter said kante was wengers no 1 target and he was certain we would get him. Since then something obviously happened because the only player to leave Leicester of note was kante, we didn't put up much of a fight and we ended up paying more money for xhaka early in the transfer window, i think ( and it is my opinion ) wenger chose xhaka over fighting for kante. Again opinion but winter is still adamant that we could have got kante at some stage. Something changed.

4.) 01 Feb 2017 19:28:02
I hadn't heard about the comments from Winter Steve, I did also hear that Mourinho made a determined effort to get him to move to United it was just Kante wanted Chelsea and only Chelsea.

Not sure what his attraction was to them in particular but he clearly couldn't be dissuaded.

Cracking player and would have been great here. As for Xhaka he has a lot to prove on all fronts for me.

5.) 01 Feb 2017 20:31:07
Oh dear raver a draw at one from bottom club Sunderland to draw level on points with us and your bigginf it up. Tell us the last time the Toot finished ahead of us in the league. The pain at the lane just goes on. 1961 and waiting.

With Southampton qualifying for the EFL final it means our league game with them will be re-arranged. One less game between the Bayern games but fixtures could become hectic towards end of season

Zero goals conceded in the tournament - well done Southampton

23 Jan 2017 14:15:36
Xhaka is the obvious hot topic. It's just you think about this type of player and wonder where does it go with him? He got sent off in the opposition half against Swansea for a trip. Ozil was going towards burnleys penalty area when he was scythed down. Same referee but ones a red and another is a yellow. You begin to wonder. To be fair to Xhaka I think he expected to be yellow carded against Swansea.

The tackle you are on about, the big difference was he stayed on his feet, one footed tackle/ foul, both falling over after, foul and yellow. Do people realise that became of repeat discretions, xhaka will get a 3 + 1, 4 game suspension.

2.) 23 Jan 2017 17:41:23
I feel both of the reds were harsh and could, maybe should, have been yellows

3.) 23 Jan 2017 18:10:56
Kinloch, you can't say he's unlucky, hard done to or not deserving. Others have got away with things but that's another debate. Letter of the law both were correct.

4.) 23 Jan 2017 18:12:30
He does need to learn from this and I hope he does. What annoys me is consistency here. From the ref. I don't think xhaka was intending to hurt the guy. But it's 2 footed so yea law of the game straight red. Hard to argue. However how was Burnley not down to 10 men when one of them elbowed mustafi. I don't think it was intentional but jump up with tote arms like that should be a straight red. As I said consistency

5.) 23 Jan 2017 18:54:20
Consisyency is another debate, just look at some of the reffing this weekend alone.

BBC reporting that Ryan Mason is undergoing surgery for a fractured skull. Best wishes to him and his family and hopefully he can get back to playing for Hull.

I second that.

2.) 22 Jan 2017 23:44:55
Absolutely. Wishing the lad a speedy recovery.

3.) 23 Jan 2017 00:09:29
Amen to that

4.) 23 Jan 2017 06:02:49
Hope all goes well and thinking of him

My beloved Arsenal were once a force. Now we are only also-rans. Arsene is one of us. He loves the club too but he is taking on too much. Maybe he thinks he can't trust the people above him to run the club. I would have to agree with him if he did. But it is time to go nonetheless.

We have an absentee owner who charges us 3mil quid for the privilege. Says nothing. Attends 1 or 2 games a year. He has appointed Gazidas to grow us commercially. We have dropped from 2ND to 5th biggest club commercially in his short 7 years here. The move to the Emirates would have us competing with Bayern he said. Enough of this fool

We have Dick Law on the transfers front. Every month we have a new player who we 'could' have signed. It's all repetitive. It's maddening. Now I am not at the Emirates as often as I would like but I can't bear to see what is happening this proud club.

Sanogo, I'm sure we put in a bid at some stage last few years. I'm open to be corrected.
