Rumour circulating that Sesko wants a release clause adding to his Arsenal contract that would enable other teams to buy him for 20% more than Arsenal pay for him. So let's say we get him for 70mil, his release clause would be 84mil. This just feels like he's wanting to keep the door open for a move to a Barcelona or a Real in 4 years time. Doesn't sound like a cast-iron commitment to our club from the player. I understand it from a business and player perspective that this is smart for "him", but that doesn't roll well with the fans. We don't want a mercenary on our hands, we need a gut-busting winner with the Arsenal badge tattooed on his face.

Can the Eds advise why we've not seen a player presented signing a contract in 6 days despite apparently closing multiple deals? Is there a plan to announce multiple players tomorrow, Friday, as a statement before we head off for our preseason tour? Arsenal don't seem to be very good at announcing player signings and keep us waiting and slightly underwhelmed on socials when they do officially sign. I want bells and whistles and excitement, like Barcelona holding an event for the Yamal number 10 shirt, or the MLS deal (which he apparently organised, not the club) . Sack the promo team!
{Ed014's Note - I wish I could give you a definitive answer mate but as ed02 had told us countless times, these things do take time.
I don’t know if Arsenal have ever announced multiple signings in one go, but there’s always a first I guess.

I think Wenger done it once with Overmars, Petit and 3 or 4 others for the 97/ 98 season.

Wonder what the Edinburgh think about the possibility of both Sesko and Gyokeres arriving this summer? I feel like Gyok could contribute at LW as well as up top.

I do have a gut feeling both players will arrive if we can get someone like Sane on a free to save some wonga.

With Watkins getting a groin injury tonight vs Wolves, I think that 100% puts the final nail in the coffin on that deal.
Sesko isn't ready right now, and perhaps even not next season. Gyokeres will go to Man U in the summer.
It is indeed looking like nada this transfer window now sadly.
I just think we have to accept that Sesko (and he is not a sure succesd) is likely coming in the summer, and that nothing is going to happen in January.
Kai is absolutely wonderful in every aspect except his finishing, but looks like he will never become that guy. I just don't think there's any other realistic short term answer for this season.
As the final pieces to a well-rounded squad, if we can get a prolific striker, a versatile LW, and a ball-playing holding CMF in the summer, I believe we will will be in the mix again for the title next season. But it's not nailed on as Liverpool will strengthen again and so will City.

If striker targets aren't available then wait until the summer and see if we can add a wide forward now. If that's not possible either then the academy needs to step up. Havertz has played an enormous number of minutes and needs more rest in my opinion.
The league is never a given but if we get those players we would be pretty well placed. Many of City's and Liverpool's key players are on the wrong side of thirty, injured or out of contract in the summer. I would be wary of Chelsea though.

Bane and Batman in the same lineup. The rest of the league thinks we will bottle it again but this time we're going to have all the tools to win trophies. I think we can all admit we had limitations in depth and quality over the last 5 years. Arteta has kept building year on year, pruning away our limitations and adding more and more quality. Just look at our potential squad now compared to when he took over, and even to the 2022/ 2023 squad. I believe that we are going to have that little bit extra this upcoming season, and will finally make all the Arsenal-obsessed trolls eat their words. ?.

We absolutely should not sell Martinelli, he could still become elite and has shown promise as a striking option in big games. As much as I love Trossard and his crucial goal contributions, he's the one to get moved on for me.
