Only my opinion but I don't listen to 'widespread reports' and don't take them as gospel. In widespread reports Mr Berta seems to have done and is doing a good / excellent job of building a yes Title Winning squad who lost CL on penalties. Should have bought Ray Stewart and Le Tissier and we'd have won it. I know we are joking about this Sy but I'm glad Mr Berta is doing his thing and not listening to knee jerk scattergun media driven opinions from those nowhere near the actual transfer process.
Even on here there is not a consensus. If Mr Berta doesn't buy Alvarez has he failed? He may offer £130 mill ( for a player who wants Barca) and still won't get the signature. Don't forget we aren't an oil club or one that cheats by paying agents bucketloads - we can't just offer £150 mill and get the player. Did he fail with Vinicius Junior? Was never going to happen. I'm glad we offered £35 mill for Konza. It's a negotiation and I couldn't care less what other clubs think.
There's our offer take it or leave it! If I'm still interested I'll come back with a better offer etc etc. I'm glad we aren't billy big bollox and just pay the full asking price especially for Konza who would warm the bench and only play for a while. Surely look for a loan to cover Mosquera and Saliba or play Calafiori or Hincapie! I know he's right footed but do we need a £60 mill player on the bench? I'm sure most transfers take place in last two weeks of window which shuts in three weeks.
I would think Mr Berta MA and medical staff have chatted and know exactly who is injured for how long and who we need to buy. Until proven otherwise I'm happy to trust their judgement. Apologies for War and Peace COYG
PS I'm liking Tsolis very direct and I'm swayed towards Yildiz ( reseached him) . I'm Team Viktor / Kai with the ammo we have behind and either side of them I'm confident they'll do the job.
