Arteta is your biggest weakness, if you had a top manager I think you'd break through and win the league.
He's blamed his defence, you fixed it with players like Saliba, he blamed the midfield then got rice, then he used the excuse of a striker which has now been fixed.
He has no more excuses imo but I wonder if you end up rueing sticking with Arteta and end up blowing your best chances for silverware similar to England with Southgate. Appreciate there is plenty of time for this view to blow up in my face.
Obviously it's early in the Season but Arteta still seems to be 'must not lose'. To win titles and lay down markers you have to go for the throat. We've been fairly open so far and he was just happy to pass it round the back. An early attack may have made the crowd nervous but Kerkez and Konate grew into the game as he played to their strengths.
You've walked away with nothing regardless, but it may have been different with a slightly more aggressive approach.
Two seasons back you were unbelievable going forward and he's thrown it all away to be a hybrid between mourinho and athletico.

Not long ago people were calling for Arsenes head for failing to be solid or play for draws in games like this.
That said, I miss the earlier braver Arteta-ball, its entertainment after all so I'd always prefer to lose playing football.

Surely you can play both ways, and it was clear to see after 45mins we could get at Liverpool if we wanted to and if Arteta made the correct changes.
