I don't know mate, for me, he's a fan and if he wants to vent on a fan page, then let him. I'm not seeing the issue here. We can't all wax lyrical about the season, about the fact we've needed a striker for 3 seasons running, or that we came second again.

Hi Mark, it's hardly a disaster mate, but I accept that for you personally it might feel that way.
For me if we finished 17th and Spurs runners up I would be embarrassed. Th league is the true reflection of how good or bad you are. Look at who the two Europa league finalists were and look at the English Premier league table. Just how poor were the other teams in the Europa league if Spurs and United were good enough to finish 1st and 2nd.

It's the second tier European competition so hardly a third rate Cup. Although, it is weaker this season since the failures from the CL weren't parachuted in this season.
But I agree that the league is where true quality shows. And spurs did have a poorer season than you all despite winning a cup. Arteta still has a lot to prove though, spending all that he has to craft this team and yet still having nothing to show for it. Next season is really make or break for him.

I don't think Spurs first trophy in 17 years or Newcastles first in 72 years or Palace first trophy in over 100 years should come into the Arteta equation.
Each team and club are ultimately only competing with themselves to be the best they can be and in my opinion under Arteta Arsenal are the best we've been for 20 years.
