I'm concerned about Partey and Xhaka. Two criminal investigations pending. I believe the rape allegations have been deferred till October.
After hearing the boos each time Partey was on the ball on Friday it seems that certain sections of the crowd had made up their mind about him before any trial. It must be awful for him and how can he concentrate with that sort of response?
Nobody really knows who the person being accused is, but if it is him do we have enough midfield cover for all the games this season?
I'm hoping that the Xhaka yellow card betting incident is quickly resolved too. It can't be easy for him either with that hanging over his head, although it seems he isn't under investigation thankfully.
So I suppose my point is I think we do need extra midfield cover although if the worst happens we could strengthen in January.
{Ed014's Note - the club are actively looking at midfield additions Sally so think it’s clearly something they’re concerned about and Melo, one of the links is a DM.
Fingers crossed we get a couple more in either way.
