Ozil and Kolasinac out of the NUFC game due to ongoing police investigation. Ozil been caught stealing a wage for 3 years.

{Ed047's Note - 😱😂

I don’t get that at all, milking it or what.

{Ed047's Note - the report insinuates the Police are looking into other “incidents” so god knows what’s going on. What ground can they then guarantee their safety.

There are incidents towards players every game, I find it a bizarre and a bit snowflake generation.

{Ed047's Note - you’d maybe understand it if it was just Ozil but Kolasinac is a tank and didn’t look like he was bothered in the least.

09 Aug 2019 21:26:11
Totally agree he was up for more whereas Ozil was cowering in the corner.

{Ed047's Note - it’ll come out that Ozil is a gangland boss and Kolasinac is his body guard come hit man!

All joking aside, these are normal guys with families etc. If a knife was pulled on any one of us we all react differently. These guys are scumbags and likely to threaten them in their homes or outside their kids schools. It’s a bit more than just some verbal abuse from the fans.

Cowering in the corner? These people had knives! It's not a 50/ 50 tackle on a football pitch Ozil ducked out of here it's a life freterneing situation in a real life Street!
I don't know why there is still a threat but maybe there is stuff we don't know about, the club seem to be very supportive of them both so before anyone judges their bottle maybe wait and find out the reality?
Everyone's a tough guy until it happens to them in my experience.

{Ed0333's Note - Superb post mate and insightful perspective. Everyone’s Pablo Escobar behind a keyboard but I bet a large majority of people laughing at Ozil would be the ones handing over their, watch, wedding ring, wallet and begging for their lives if it happened to them in real life.

Yeh I've got to say it's a bit of an unfair and harsh view on it. The guys got attacked and we don't know the full story, but the soppy little snowflakes should just suck it up and get back to the truly important things in life, like playing football.

I imagine it’s not their decision.

62, I had a smashed bottle aimed at me about 4 years ago outside a pub and got told to hand my phone over he got told to F off, a day later my tyres were slashed on my drivec ( same guy ) - I identified him and he got sent down .

Guess what I still went to work - without bodyguards outside the house so yes, stop being a snowflake and go to work . oh I have 3 small children also living in the house.

How can playing on a pitch be of a threat to them unless a sniper is in the stand . I find the whole thing bizarre.

{Ed025's Note - i dont know whether that makes you a hero or an idiot bambam..

Circumstances are circumstances if he had a gun it’s a different story, the guy was drunk he knew I did kick boxing he backed down, Kol stood up and fair play to him I guess everyone has a different mentality and approach, I just don’t understand the not playing bit have they been assessed mentally?

{Ed047's Note - in reality whilst we may have joked about it lightheartedly yesterday, incidents like that, no matter how big and brave you are, can lead to mental trauma, PTSD potentially.

In the cold light of day they were highly likely in a life or death situation faced with two guys with sizeable knives and no one could blame Ozil, in those brief moments, from doing everything to protect himself and his wife, including ensuring they were secure within his car.

Kolasinac as brave as he was could easily be affected after the incident as much as everyone else involved and the “further incidents” can only heighten any potential distress.

They will definitely be having some kind of assessment and probably something like CBT counselling.

One person who might rush into a burning building to rescue another person might not have the compassion to buy a homeless person a meal or sponsor a child they will never meet in a country they will never visit.
Hero's come in all shapes and sizes and imagine a world where everyone would be happy to save a child from a burning building but then be equally happy to let that child starve to death afterwards?
We all have different strengths and the vast majority of us are all heroes to someone somewhere at different times in lots of different ways throughout our lifes.
