I'm wondering if Sanchez stays and reviews the situation in the January transfer window.
Who thinks that might be a decent compromise? .

Agree2 Disagree3

If he stays until January he will be in an even stronger position that he is now and the stronger Alexis hand gets the weaker Arsenals becomes.

Either he signs or goes this summer imo.

{Ed025's Note - i love the guys ability G62 but im not happy about the way he is conducting himself by basically holding the club to ransom, yes hes brilliant but no player is bigger than the club and especially a club like arsenal who have lost players like henry, bergkamp and rvp in the past and still survived, time to get rid imo and show the footballing world that arsenal are bigger than one player mate..

Ed - how does getting rid of him show the football world no player is bigger than Arsenal? Surely it can only look like we are a selling club / not big enough?

I'm not saying we should keep him, but unless he goes outside of the prem we look weak. If we end up winning the league without him then we can all say yeah we didn't need you Alexis, but let's be realistic that ain't going to happen.

{Ed025's Note - it would tell other players that arsenal will not be held to ransom for me scar, if you pay this brat £400k a week then as sure as eggs is eggs the rest will be knocking on arsene,s door looking for a pay hike, this will make buying players harder and the knock on effect will be unsustainable, but of course thats just my view mate and i suppose some will see it as naive but i hate greed..

Couldn't agree more Ed025 mate and I don't think we should be to precious about where he goes either, if city want pay way above what others are offering snatch their hands off.
Stop worrying about whether it's good for city of good for Alexis concentrate on what makes Arsenal stringer and to my mind City's 80 million makes Arsenals job of replacing Sanchez much more doable than PSG 40 million.
For us it needs to be 100% about us and not what we fear about others in my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely G62..

Sell Alexis to City and we've handed the premier league title to them, what's the point?

Keep him another season and I think he will continue to give 110% for us. With alexis and new signings it gives us a real shot at title. and that's worth more than the £40-50m we'd get for him.

But detriot if we keep Sanchez will we realistically the league mate? If not what does it matter if city do, or would you prefer Spurs :-)
Sanchez is good but I don't think he alone is a garamtee of winning the league, even Suarez alone wasn't good enough to get Liverpool over the line in 2014 and I've never seen anyone have a better premier league season than he did that season.

am I the only one who thinks he's told he clubs he wants to go? and its now just tactics from both sides.
I honestly don't hate him for wanting to go if i'm in his shoes I do the same. but let's get the fee and move on.

11 Jul 2017 17:58:50
I certainly don't hold his ambition against him either Derby, other players and the club in general haven't shown the same enthusiasm and determination to win big prizes as Alexis has shown consistently over the last 3 years so what's has anyone to feel let down about by Sanchez.
He's wants out and it's difficult to argue he hasn't given his all to the club while with us so let's get the best possible price and move on.
Alexis Sanchez has been a brilliant player for Arsenal as have many in the past now let's concentrate on finding the next generation of great Arsenal players and hopefully learning from what we got wrong during Sanchez time with the club.

Gunner you would have thought they'd had enough lessons on that by now.

11 Jul 2017 20:09:18
Winding the clock back isn't possible Steve mate so what can we do but learn and be different in the future mate?

11 Jul 2017 21:09:20
But do we learn in the future.
