I really don't think the Wenger situation is cut and dried. Surely if he decided to stay it would be announced but if he was going to leave then perhaps he thinks it could be detrimental to the side. I really can't get my head round it all. For years even in adversity there was always a professional integrity about the club but this year has been shocking! Wether your Wenger in or Wenger out you have to admit it's been nothing short of an embarrassing shambles on a club level as well as on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate.

I have never known a club where the manager decides his own tenure (Maybe SAF at Man Utd but he had 26 years of continued success) .

Embarrassing.

It certainly gives the impression that no one actually knows what is going on for 100% certain and the club is just drifting from day to day.
If Arsenal were investment company who in their right mind would trust them with their pension?
Once when people thought of Arsenal football club people thought of a club run with dignity and integrity who even if things were not going well on the field always gave the impression all was under control at the heart of the club.

62 - as a business they have performed pretty well over the years. Acting like a VC stripping assets, minimising investment to show healthy profits and a good balance sheet.

It's as an ambitious football club they have failed.

Ha ha.

Fair comment SY mate but how long will they continue to show a profit mate?
Will thier still be a waiting list for season tickets this time next season?
No champions league money next season and it's highly probable it could be many years before the champions league music is heard at the Emirates stadium again.
A half empty stadium and Spursdaynight league football at best might not reflect so well in the profits column mate.

I still think Wenger will turn up at PSG.

06 May 2017 11:55:52
Nah RG,
Just heard Ed025 is tarmacing Wenger's driveway the same as Ozil's.

They are both staying mate.

{Ed001's Note - at the speed the old codger works, it will be at least five seasons before they get finished, so they will be unable to move their stuff out anyway....}

06 May 2017 12:06:32
To be fair RG mate you still think Britain will vote remain in the referendum and Hilary will Trump Donald :-)
Tenacious as ever, if we had singed you instead of Xhaka in the summer our season would have been so much better.

06 May 2017 12:19:14
Ed001,
It's the yellow budgie smugglers he wears. slows him down to a stop, lol.

{Ed001's Note - I think that is just an excuse, it is his age that slows him. Mind you would be slow if you were in treble figures.}

06 May 2017 12:44:22
Couldn't agree with you more hence I find myself in a state of apathy concerning us, it's almost got to what's the point.

06 May 2017 13:03:21
Better get ed25 on Sanchez drive then.

06 May 2017 13:06:29
Apathy is the right word Stoner mate.
If Arsene stays what is the point of anyone getting upset or excited, if that's what happens nothing is likely to improve we all know that but what's the point of going on about it.
We have to accept that our club is at standstill and keep ourselves ammused until something finally does happen to get our interest again.
