If United win the Europa League, which I believe will qualify them for the Champions League, do they replace the 4th placed PL team or can we have 5 teams in the CL?

I think we'd get a 5th team in the Champions League. I believe 5 was the limit though so if a team won the Champs League and another won Europa League but both finished outside top 4 then the 4th placed team would be the one to miss out.

Eufa regulations state 5 teams can qualify from one country.
So, if Man Utd win Europa League, the team finishing 4th will still qualify for CL.
