Haven't been on here for a while so this might well have been discussed in the last few weeks, but I'll go ahead and ask anyway.

Is it me or does Bellerin look like he's still not fully recovered since getting injured? He was such a vital outlet until about Xmas and we dearly missed him when he was out for a few weeks before that. But in 2017, Bellerin seems lacking in pace, so he's not always afforded that extra chance he can usually buy himself when tracking back.

I know Sane is rapid but I just don't remember Bellerin once being beaten for pace before 2017 and sadly this year he's looked off it against far less menacing opposition than Sane. It's a worrying sign - so many defenders in our squad on paper but only about 5/ 6 we actually ever seem in a position to field.

He reminds me of reyes and like reyes did in the prem he got pummelled against chelski i think and one or two others and he looks as tnough he is very unsure and hesitant, like his confidence has gone. I think its too rough for him in the prem personally, if he wants to go to Barcelona and we get good money for me he can go.

Seems to be enjoying his big wage and fame too much. Long hair don't care. Behave.

He is a young lad with a lot of expectations on his shoulders with very few leases around to give him the support he could do with mentally at this stage of his career with things being less than great at the club right now.
We have lots of Indians with no real sign of any chiefs taking the lead imo.

Gunner reyes got mullered at man u and was never the same, he couldn't handle it, he went to spain and had a good career. I think bellerin struggles with the defensive side of the game and doesn't really relish defending but he could have a future in spain. We need defenders who actually enjoy defending.

If arsenal were playing in a 3-4-3 or a 5-. Bellerin would fit in perfectly. Albeit he still can't cross to save his life but, you know.

Agree NEG. we have the makings of a good 3-5-2.Bellerin is definitely more a wing back than full back. and we have 5 CDs on the books with Chambers due to add to that list next year, so why we haven't even tried 3 across the back baffles me. Chelsea and Spurs use it successfully, and it even made England look good, so must be worth a try surely!
