Jesus is back in training, apparently. I think we may not be getting in a striker.

11 goals on 33 games though doesn’t = a striker, as good as Jesus is he won’t bag the goals needed to make us Top European side.

With a little more composure hopefully he might become that striker yet Banbury mate, if he can learn to take more of the easy chances he gets his goals per game record would look much healthier.

He is a brilliant asset already but obviously he does need to become more lethal in front of goal to be the striker we both want and need him to be.

Wouldn’t disagree 62 - he is class but if he can get to 20 a season he will tick a box - his work rate and interchange of passing is excellent.

Love jesus but we do need a much more clinical finisher at top. That to me is our only weakness Jesus is good but he can be be bullied off the ball too easily. One little push and he is on the floor need someone with more steel. However we do get goals from all other positions which other teams don't have and that played in our favour last season. We don't want to really on the refs making the right call as we know most don't like to give the decision in our favour.

Genuine question I’ve asked before who to sign? This striker has to fit our style, guarantee 20 goals and be realistically available! United splurged £72 mill on an unproven striker ? if someone can convince me I’m in! For me Jesus is fine and I’d buy Toney as backup in January! I bet he’d come! I’m so sorry COYG.

{Ed014's Note - I’d go for Toney too, scored 20 last season and a couple of seasons ago got 31 in the championship so definitely worth a punt.

He works hard too.

Jesus is not really a striker, when he plays he causes all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders leaving Martinelli and Saka to drift inside and their goal Talley to rise with him in the team, we play a different game with Jesus in the team.
