All things considered we have started the season very well and we have more points on the board than at the same time last season.
I'd rather get thrashed 3-0 after 5 games than with 5 games to go.
For once the International break is at the right time.
For me it brings us back down to earth with a bang and we can reset.
Disappointing thing is how shocking the defending was, something we pride ourselves on, to have all XI players switching off for 90 is rare.
Also let's be fair, 4 away games on the bounce is tough going.
Onwards and upwards.

Agree Banbury, we were going to have such results sometime in the season and good to have them at the beginning while we have time to recover.
You have a good point about the four away games on the trot, however, we were really below our set levels and gave them too much space.
Brighton have started well this season and have got the physical intensity to trouble many teams so the result is definitely not alarming but we have to return stronger after the break.

Sorry but 1 shot on target is pathetic
Our options are not good enough - none of last years signings good enough to start. Our attack is one dimensional and lacks bite. Where's Ode in games like that. Where's our option to pull Saka off or put a decent left winger on? Where's our different striker or proper striker option.
Only shot on target was Kai actually hitting the keeper on a one on one - he's not a striker & Vic ain't good enough
Brighton spanked Coventry more, Brentford same with Chelsea, lucky at Sunderland. Let's not get carried away here the other way either.
As champs - that was pathetic and we need far better options from Brian.

SY4, you are right, but there is little that can be done about that until January; even then, options are likely to be thin on the ground. Perhaps the most striking thing to me was how Brighton's ambition and willingness to attack were ignored; we made no tactical changes at all in response. That lack of reflexivity is a wider concern for me, as we look distinctly uncomfortable when teams open up on us. It's almost as if we consider it a liberty when other teams want to play rather than sit back.
Let's hope it was an aberration, as others suggest.
