Reading between the lines and from his recent interviews, i'm not sure this is artetas doing. When asked about alvarez, he rolled his eyes and said "dont ask". I believe at that stage he knew we'd probably not get someone else in. I hope we don't live to regret it. Very good squad in midfield and defence, but there are too many question marks about some of our attackers for me to be excited.
We can still win major trophies however as our defence and midfield are top drawer and will probably claw us through many games.

Nice summary & I'm sure he isn't happy.
We sure can win something & I'm sure our defence / midfield will get us over the line & out of holes.
Bruno is a super signing and the highlight of our window.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him & Rice. That's a great midfield - we are blessed in goalie, centre backs, Timber, centre midfield & Saka.
Congrats to Arteta on 250 games & a decent win %.
