Evening all. just watched the ARSENAL. form and confidence gone right out the window. (3 huge points dropped at home) . we still need four points from last 3 games Liverpool (away) . Newcastle (home) and Southampton (away) to guarantee champions league football for next season. could end up out of Europe by the close of the season. and regrading this weeks semi final, if we turn up and play like that. (hate myself for saying it) . but we will get absolutely smashed by P. S. G. what has happened to the swashbuckling football from two seasons ago when we showed no fear and really took it to all our opponents and played some of the best football I'd seen us play in a long time. I know we have had our fair share of injuries (but so have other teams) it's not an excuse. this season that promised so much is unraveling before our very eyes. and it's a bloody tough watch at the moment. still and will always be ARSENAL through and through ?⚪️❤️COYG/ VTH ARSENAL TILL I DIE.

I think the injuries had a big impact on the squad, often having a short bench. Right now only Rice looks like he's up for 90 minutes. I t looks like we've run out of steam.

No matter how tough it is… never ever give up trying. i just think with everything that’s happened good and not so good. it all just seems to be catching us up at exactly the wrong time. we need to go to Paris and really put it right on them from the very off… we got it spot on. both games v Real Madrid. because we played the games, and not the occasions. I felt against P. S. G in the first leg we definitely played the occasion and they had their tactics spot on and you have to say they honestly were the better team on the night. (0-1 was not good, but not the worst result) . …but it is only half time in the tie… and we are more than capable of beating anyone when we are bang on it. so come on you gunners let’s go…???⚪️❤️.

Ed perhaps I posted that a bit hastily but this succession of inept performances frustrates me so much!
{Ed014's Note - mate the league was done months ago, circs dictated we were never really in it. I’m far from happy about that either.
Our eggs are clearly now though, in one basket and we’ve had one poor performance in that comp.
Let’s hope Wednesday they put that right.
There’s little doubt Arteta is fast approaching the last chance saloon, we all, I’d guarantee want to win something and sooner rather than later.
I’m hoping Berta is having a long hard look at everything and he and Josh will make the right calls this summer.

I think Arteta will walk at the end of the season if we don't win the champions league, he will not want to be the divisive figure that split the fan base as Arsene became in the end.
Before the Italia 90 world cup semi final between England and Germany Peter Swales and other FA committee members were discussing how they hoped England would lose to Germany because otherwise England might win the competition and they'd be stuck with Sir Bobby Robson as manager and not be able to bring in Graham Taylor to replace him.
Things worked out well for them and they got exactly what they wanted but things didn't work out so well for the national team and its fans.

Ed I get the league was over a long time ago but that does not excuse a long list of lacklustre displays. These players are paid a lot of money to perform and are not delivering for the club or the fans. I am not yet in the arteta out camp but I am halfway down that road.
{Ed014's Note - I know mate, it’s been a pretty poor season for most of the squad, I guess after two intense seasons of running City close, it took its toll.
