A very real threat that Wrighty is correctly highlighting as the time to deliver silverware is probably a lot shorter than some people think.
Ian Wright has warned Arsenal that they need to make an 'unbelievable' signing this summer or risk losing three of their best players.
The prospect of another trophyless season is real and there is great concern about the side's blunt attack, especially with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus sidelined with injury.
But Wright is also greatly worried that the lack of silverware and ambition in the transfer market could cause problems down the line, singling out three players whose contracts expire in 2027.
'We have to start thinking about about Gabriel [Magalhaes], [William] Saliba and Saka. After this season, they've got two years left, ' the former Arsenal striker said on his Wrighty's House podcast.
Very real threat - if we back Arteta we are gambling far more than our frustration.
For me - next season is his last unless trophy and top 3.
We cannot risk our star players leaving and leaving at a lower price than mkt value.

I believe next season's expectations for Arteta will be greater than that SY, specifically regarding Saliba. Anything less than a Premier League title or Champion's League winners, and I'd wager Saliba is off to Madrid in summer 26. (Though I definitely believe Saka will extend his contract regardless. not sure about Gabriel) . Got a sneaky feeling the Arsenal brass believe this as well which would explain all the stories about Arsenal interested in Ronald Araujo from Barcelona.

Love Wrighty to bits, love his passion for the Arsenal it's totally unquestionable but he's fortune telling abilities? I'm extremely dubious of.
Ask Wrighty what tomorrow night's winning lottery numbers are and if gets them all correct I will start panicking, but until then I'll continue to form my own opinions.
In the words of Oscar Wilde (roughly)
" most people are other people, their thoughts, opinions and beliefs are someone else's thoughts opinions and beliefs "
And from me " and they are almost always negative in nature"

Hi 62 - it seems logical albeit not factual . Why would it not seem like a real risk?

62, feels like a weird quote mate. As most people’s knowledge is gained from other sources, experiences and feedback. It allows us to have opinions in areas we haven’t lived, while still being their own person.
Surely quoting this is ironic. why do you quote a socialist when discussing one of the most capitalist sports out there.
Reading and absorbing knowledge is imporysnt for developing and educating oneself.
I didn’t search a quote or article to prove my point in fact I bet you can’t find a positive article at present as the Emperor is getting exposed. He really has no clothes but been fooling you.
One of my favourite stories
Surely an ex-Arsenal player who normally supports the club in what he says ( even spoke highly of Kai ) is a good source to reference?
It also tied into what a number of people were saying as the clock is ticking
Anyway - hope you are well.

Hi Sy I am well thank you mate, just a bit tired of the constant promotion of negativity and the use of other peoples words to justify and support the promotion of that negativity mate if honest.
If it was only happening now I'd understand but it's been going for the last 3 seasons regardless of whether we are top of the table and scoring for fun or second in the table and struggling for form and goals as we most definitely are now, it's just the relentless stream of promoting reasons to be negative about Arsenal mate,

Glad you are well bud - I get it. Expectations are high, margins narrow so any glimmer of a weaknesses is jumped on. Guess it shows how far we have come and the pent up desire for success….

Hi SY, I get people are disappointed and frustrated of course I do and i get how people want to voice that frustration but does it really serve any useful purpose for us to keep telling each other over and over how unhappy and dissatisfied we should all be and how many other people away from this site think we should all be unhappy and dissatisfied with our team.
Things are not good for us at the moment but we have far from returned to the bad old days yet. None of our word's positive or negative will have any genuine effect on or control over the reality of what happens on pitch, the only real power any of our wordd have is whether to cheer ourselves each other up or make each other feel even worse about our teams form, the latter sounds like self inflicted suffering to me mate
We all know the situation and.
