Good night for Gnabry.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Oct 2019 21:45:15
Shouldn't have let him go!

01 Oct 2019 21:48:50
I think the spuds are trying to break our bayern goals conceded record. Lol.

01 Oct 2019 21:59:42
And it's goodnight from spuds, and suddenly The Two Ronnie's become the Chuckle Brothers, from Serge to us :-)

01 Oct 2019 22:24:40
Serge Gnabry Consistently mocking us for letting him go / not giving him the chance to shine. We’ve made some poor decisions - let Rambo go for free and have to add striker for 70 plus Million when we could have kept him and signed a 70m centrehalf rather than a 8m 🤡. Think Serge Gnabry however must be up there with Kane as seriously poor club management.

01 Oct 2019 22:30:30
Impressed with that comment SY, very realistic mate.

01 Oct 2019 23:48:21
Sy, at least the people for letting kane and Gnabry go, have now gone also. Like giving Ozil 350k a week and letting sanchez go for nothing along with Gnabry, the knock on effects are serious.

Hindsight is a great thing.
I believe that young talent is difficult to bring through, as some players are often technically able to play first team football as young as 15 or 16, but lack the maturity, physicality and experience for regular first team football. The problem is how you keep such players happy until they are ready. Gnabry was such a player, who I seem to recall was returned from a loan deal by WBA. I also recall that he wouldn’t extend his deal with us. He has turned into a fine player and it was great to see him fire 4 past a poor Toot team. Time for Pochettino to move on, the team is disintegrating with 3or 4 players likely to leave for free and others looking stale or simply not good enough.

02 Oct 2019 07:57:13
Harry kane couldn't get in the Norwich team when on loan there but the very next season at Spurs he couldn't stop scoring, Serge always looked good at Arsenal on the very few occasions Arsene gave him a chance.
On Poch the impossible has happened and we agree :-) it's time for him and Spurs to part company, I think he had his head turned when linked with United last season and once someone losses just a little bit if commitment to the cause it doesn't usually take long for it to show especially when it's the man in charge, Poch to Real or United and Mourinho to Spurs looks a possibility.

{Ed001's Note - nothing to do with head turning and everything to do with Levy frustrating Poch by failing in the transfer market time and time again.}

02 Oct 2019 08:52:35
Fair enough Ed001 mate but the result is the same in my opinion, the manager has lost heart and the players can sense it.
I thought last season was a world cup hangover for Spurs but obviously there is a lot more to it and they have lost or at least misplaced that sprit that took them from the Spurs day night league to champions league regulars.
It's usual for things to turn back again once that unity has been broken so I think for all concerned Spurs and Poch would be better off going their own separate ways as together they both simply look shot.

{Ed001's Note - he should have left last summer with his ridiculous overrated reputation intact. This summer again he should have gone. However no one wants to leave millions on the table and his principles are worth less than the money Spurs are paying him and will pay him when they sack him.}

02 Oct 2019 09:45:13
I actually think he's done an excellent job there Ed mate, they were almost consistently Europa league limited until he arrived and have become champions league regulars which is something no one else managed there plus when I comes to North London rivalry he took them from decades of finishing behind us to now regularly finishing above us again something no other Spurs manager could manage in a very long time.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but they achieved it when everyone else was rubbish, rather than because they were good. The story of Poch is mediocrity and winning nothing, even when everyone else handed it to them on a plate. Instead he in turn passed it on to Leicester. As soon as someone else had a good season, they finished ahead of Spurs.}

Spot on Ed, Levy has been found out. He didn’t support Pochettino in at least 2, if not more windows. The team has become stale and at least 4 players are running down their deals. Assuming Alderwierald, Eriksen, Rose and Vertonghen move for nothing, it will be a huge loss for the club, both financially and in terms of the playing squad.
Toot won’t sack Pochettino, as it will cost them a fortune. They would have to forgo the reported £35m transfer clause in his contract and could be liable to pay his contract until he takes up a new position.
Gnabry was sent back early from WBA, Kane wasn’t sent back from Norwich. I recall Gnabry had a bad attitude at the time.

{Ed001's Note - Gnabry never had any attitude problems, he was recalled by Arsenal because Pulis wouldn't play him as he did not think Gnabry did enough tracking back and was too much of a fancy dan. Gnabry listened to what he was told and worked harder to try and prove Pulis wrong. That is exactly the attitude you want in a player.}

02 Oct 2019 12:05:20
Yet here are Kane Gnarby and Chambers all proving they're critics and detractors wrong, big style :-)

02 Oct 2019 14:41:04
Gnabry and Kane simply needed to mature.
G62, you may have a man crush in Chambers, but he is a very average player at best.

02 Oct 2019 16:05:49
You like Calum really RG, go on admit It :-)

02 Oct 2019 17:02:59
I like Callum, a better player than people give him credit for. He does need a position though and he does need a run of games. Maybe in xhakas place, would be ideal but not going to happen.

02 Oct 2019 18:33:25
Your right Steve it's not going to happen mate no matter what Xhaka plays, ridiculous situation that is extremely difficult to accept because it makes us weaker than we need be week in week out.

02 Oct 2019 18:50:59
Very strange gunner, very strange.

02 Oct 2019 20:24:37
He could replace Luiz! #CallumInLuizOut.

02 Oct 2019 20:52:06
Do you really rate Luis less than Xhaka SY mate? If so your most definitely entitled to your opinion mate, I'm just genuinely interested if you no love for Luis goes that deep!

02 Oct 2019 21:53:51
I'd pay serious money to see us turn out a lineup with Bellerin, Chambers, Holding and Tierney in the back 4. Young but hungry and not prone to stupid errors. Put Guendouzi, Torreira and Willock in front. Let Xhaka, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac give their heads a wobble and cut the silly mistakes out of their game and see if they can play well enough to displace some of our younger lads who have earned their gametime.

02 Oct 2019 23:23:41
I'd be extremely supportive of young guns replacing older and struggling players wire mate but unfortunately it's just not going to happen on Emerys watch, Xhaka's inclusion is 100% non negotiable for Emery he's made that very clear.
In fact the more Xhaka struggles it seems the stronger Emerys resolve to stand by his choice no matter what.
