See there’s links to seri tonight! Anyone know much about him? Any good? What we need? Ed’s you know much? Is he any good.

{Ed001's Note - I have only seen him a couple of times and he was bloody awful both times. I know the likes of Barca were chasing him, so I can only assume I caught him on bad occasions.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I’ve watched nice a few times this year and never spotted him.

{Ed001's Note - I just remembered I did do a quick profile after the first time I watched him, I wasn't impressed: Jean Michael Seri player profile

Cheers mate👍🏻 Let’s hope it was an off day.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. I do think it must have been because he can't be that bad and make it as a professional!}

I just watched a few YouTube clips. But everyone looks good on them. Although he did some really good things on them but could see how he could easily get bullied out of a game and make daft mistakes with all the Ramsey sequels flicks that usually go wrong in bad places.

Just another quick one whilst your about! Would you be shocked to see Arteta as next arsenal manager?

{Ed001's Note - no, not shocked, he is one of the potential options.}

He’s a good player 👏🏻.

Ah ok if I can re word it! Are you shocked he is a candidate?

{Ed001's Note - yes. Very much so. I am not sure what he has done to make himself this highly fancied manager of the future. He claimed homesickness to get away from Rangers then signed for Everton. He was a dick there to get a move to Arsenal. Most of all though, how can he have got any experience working for Pep Guardiola?? The man is a micromanager who is there involved in every training routine etc. There is no room for anyone to get any leadership or management experience as they are purely working for Pep, rather than with. Pep is not like Ferguson, for instance, who was very happy to delegate and so his assistants would be expected to involve themselves in man-management and setting up training schedules etc, while Fergie oversaw it all. Pep is there, omnipresent, always tinkering, adjusting, telling people how to do this and that. No one gets to stand on their own and make mistakes to learn from.}

Interesting thanks mate. I’m actually praying for Benitez given the ones still in the race. I’m sure Benitez could come in for three years and do no damage. Then Arsenal have time. Ancelotti wouldn’t be a bad bet!

Benitez is absolutely not in Arsenal's sights. He is definitely not what the club needs or wants. Benitez might be a very good manager but he is a cheque book manager, never happier than when he is spending other people's money.

When he doesn't get that money, he is sly with the media. It causes friction between the club and the fans.

Sorry I'm calling bull on that one Fatdave. Benitez has an incredible managerial history, is an excellent tactician, and is a strong enough personality to hold his own against terrible owners and boards (see: Ashley, Perez) . That he took Newcastle to midtable on a tiny budget with the likes of Diame and Dummett is a clear indication he's not only able to work with limited resources, he also can get the best out of relatively mediocre players. I would prefer Carlo, but Benitez is by no means a bad option.

The biggest lesson we could have gotten out of Moyes at United was that replacing a legendary manager requires an almost equally impressive man to fill their shoes.
