I think the team sheet for Chelsea will determine how much has changed under Emery. Under Wenger Xhaka, Ramsey and Ozil would've been guaranteed starters.

I hope he makes a few changes, it's not the defeat that bothers me. It's the fact we never learn from them.

I don't think Xhaka will start v Chelsea and I'm sure his days will be numbed at Arsenal under Dick unless he seriously bucks his ideas up if and when he gets another chance.
I know he's got a new contract but that means little as long as someone somewhere is prepared to buy him in January or next summer.
I just can't see Dick having the patents with Xhaka Arsene had and allowing him to play every game regardless of performances.

I agree I think changes will happen though, Dick Emery isn’t interested in making friends .

True Banbury and they are not his players who he feels loyal to either, for Dick it's purely business not personal.
I can't see him being happy to do post match interviews where he defends the players lack of effort after a 5 0 thrashing while the players themselves are busy taking selfies back in the changing room.

Like you say Emery has no blind faith in the players that Wenger had. He alredy proved he is not afraid to make changes I was encouraged when he made a early sub in tactically replacing Ramsey just after half time something that Wenger never did. He also very animated trying to get instructions across from the sideline, Wenger only ever barated the 4th Offical.

I think Emery is very much a anlayst and will study were we went wrong on Sunday and try and recify things. I think If we are going to play more from the back Leno would be a better choice than Cech as the keeper. It is going to take time and it is very much work in progress but I think there are good signs for the future.

From a personal view I think certainly against the better teams were we will not dominate possetion that we should go 3 at the back in a 3-5-2 (2 DM's 3 AMS both aubu and Lacazette starting) as too often our fullbacks are more of a weakness defensivly that outweights the strength of having them offensivly.

I agree Ryan in that if were going to play out from the back it seems better to play Leno and also with 3 CB's as it gives the keeper more options. However, it also takes an attacking player off the pitch as the midfield 5 is really just a 3, as two will be full backs. The issue becomes only having space for 1 AM, and i would imagine a scenario where you have to choose between Ozil, Ramsey or Miti for that one place, especially if you are going to play both Lacca and Aubu as the front two. Perhaps that's actually nice problem to have?

3 at the back certainly covers a lot of holes up, it makes you more difficult to beat plus a 352 formation finds room for both Pea and Lacasette down the middle. If your middle 5 are all prepend to put in a real team shift and support the defence and attack in equal measure you will always be a handful for anyone.
Where the 352 formation goes wrong
is when you try and play it with unwilling players who aren't prepared to give their all for now team for 90 minutes.
A hard working team of average players will usually beat a lazy team of top players, City are so much better than all others is because they get the best of both while Liverpool are the next best example.

yeah Gunner62 exactly this may seem harsh on the fullbacks but in my view why use wingbacks in a 3-5-2 as if as it is they are getting exposed defensivly in a back 4 they will get even more exposed as wingbacks in 3-5-2. The problem with our sqaud that Wenger never sorted as he hated wide men is that we have no natural midefield wide players that are comfortable out wide (Covering for fullbacks when required on overlaps) . This is why we should not play 4-4-2 either. Play to our main strength centrally and keep that tight and compact as it more important to have a solid spine and that is where you conceed 95% of goals ultimatly in the central section not from shots out wide.

Have 2 DM's, 3 more attaking central AM's then 3 at the back, 2 up top and when the attacking play is down one side one of the forwards can split out wide to get a cross in as and when. Aubu and Lacezette can most props cross better than Bellerin and Monreal anyway. If our fullbacks are our main weakness why play them. If the fullbacks had natural protection in front things would be differnet but Miki, Ramsey and Ozil are never going to give them that anyway.
