I believe that Arsenal already know the identity of the new manager, particularly the clue given during Gazidis's interview. It seems that the new manager will be a bold appointment, not Steve Bould! A bold appointment would certainly be Vieira and Wenger endorsed him shortly before news of his departure.
Also Wenger has recently provided other clues, such as the Wilshere situation. I am sure the new manager has had his say and Arsenal have reportedly left the deal on the table, but no news of any progress. Perhaps Max Meyer is lined up, in similar fashion to the free transfer of Kolasinac last season and hence Wilshere's situation becomes less crucial. The alternative is of course Enrique, but that is less bold as he already has a successful career.
Will Wenger finally appear at PSG? Or will he wait until after the World Cup, to see if France wil need a new manager? Interesting and exciting times.

The first job for whoever comes in is to stop the embarrassing performances and making sure that everytime the team take the field they play with commitment passion desire because ultimately this is what cost Arsene his job.
Obviously the defence is in desperate need of organisation and discipline as is the midfield but overall there have just been far to many games where our players didn't look interested and the new manager has to make that a thing of the past very quickly.
As for Arsene? The world is his lobster now, he is free to do what he likes and after a while he might find his mojo again elsewhere.
Where ever he goes and whatever he does he will have a clean slate and will no longer be held back by being far to close to his players where the line between boss and father figure are blurred.
I wish him nothing but well where ever he goes and whatever he choses to do in fact I hope he emerges at one of Europe's top clubs and wins the champions league he's always dreamed of that would be brilliant.

I think, if he stays in england, he could end up at Everton. I would be very surprised given that winning the league and champs league at the super rich clubs, with all the brilliant coaches around and his problems with spending money that wenger wll end up at psg or real or Barcelona or bayern, like some have suggested. Of course that's only my opinion. Plus if he did go there he would be quickly accountable. Everton could be something that could become an option.

{Ed001's Note - do you think when he joined Arsenal he saw it as a problem that he was accountable? Wenger just loves football, it is his whole life and he fell in love with Arsenal and truly believed he was the best man for the job, that is why he stayed so long.}

I agree ed and ultimately that was his problem.

Without the cosy closeness that became such a problem between Arsene and the players at Arsenal in his way who knows what Arsene might yet achieve.
A club that is defensively sound but struggles for creativity and goals?
Could be Arsenes perfect place to land.
The stadium brought a lot of changes and standards were lowered and loyalty rather than competiveness became the key word but like most things once you accept a lowing of standards its almost impossible to get people back up to speed again once they've been allowed to thrive by producing less, it's human nature.
