The protests against Wenger have been shameful. Yes, he frustrates us fans at times, but overall his record has been excellent. Over the last 4 seasons we have appeared in 3 FA Cup finals and have won two and have a chance of picking up a third win if we managed to beat Chelsea at Wembley. In all likelyhood we will miss out on a top four finish by a single point. When you consider we are in the most competitive league world football and have to compete against some of the wealthiest clubs, his record has been tremendous. I still have a hunch that he will turn up at PSG as they have failed to win the French league and went out of the CL, depsite taking a good lead into the 2nd leg against Barca. It' will take an exceptional manager to replace him. Don't forget even Guardiola has won nothing this season. In effect this season we should finish with more points than last season and have reached the FA cup final. One season in the EL isn't the end of the world and we have already signed a quality LB and we have a mature Szczesny to come back. If we can somehow sort out the contracts of OX, Ozil and Sanchez or at least replace them with suitable players, then we have a lot to look forward to, particularly as we have the new formation, which gives us greater defensive security. A new manager won't necessarily guarantee any better.

{Ed001's Note - most competitive league in world football? Have you seen the gap between 7th and the rest? That is not very competitive. Also I think Ligue 2 would argue that the fact they are entering the final day of the season with 6 (yes I did say six) teams who can win the league makes that the most competitive.}

It's a good point ed! You only have to look at the championship as well another competitive league.

{Ed001's Note - good point, another league that is many times more competitive than the Prem.}

Of course it's the most competitive league Ed -
Last 5 seasons;
Premier League - 4 different teams have won the title
Spain - 3 different teams
Italy - 1 team Juventus
Germany - 1 team Bayern Munich

Last season Leicester won the PL and the toot finished second this season, so even smaller teams can compete. We will start next season with the possibility of 5 or 6 teams in contention to win the league, whereas two of the top European leagues have had the same team winning the league for at least 5 seasons and the third has 3 teams at best equipped to win the league.

{Ed001's Note - that does not make it the most competitive. You clearly do not understand the word you are using. The Championship has a different winner every year so that must make it more competitive then? Why even argue? You always do this and just make yourself look an arse because you are always wrong. I give up, waste of time, as me ma would say, there is no educating pork.}

The last 3 seasons the premier league has had a runway champions, the last time it was tight at the top was 2013/ 14 between Liverpool and City Chelsea on thier heels.
I think next season might be different with Pep and Jose under real pressure to compete for if not deliver the title and of Poch will have Spurs stronger still.

With all due respect Ed I am fully aware of the meaning of the word competitive and I was clearly using it in relation to Arsenal, who are in a top European league, not the French second division or the Championship. It is clear from the statistics that I used that the PL is the most competitive of the top Europenan Leagues. I fail to understand why you revert to rudeness in order to try and win a debate, clearly a tactic fo a weak arguement. Calling people names is infantile in the extreme.

{Ed001's Note - you clearly are not aware of what the word means and resort to nonsense stats to try and back it up. Competitive leagues do not have a gap of such huge proportions between the top few and the rest. Competitive leagues do not end as a competition weeks early.

As for rudeness, you don't deserve my politeness as your past posts have shown disrespect to editors, you have made up bull and tried to pass off a rumour in the morning newspapers as something you got from a good source, which then you admitted to be hearsay from an unconnected to football 'source'. That is to forget your petty infantile repetitive posts aimed at the raver, for example. Or the repetitive Wenger to PSG *yawn* that has gone from being information you were given to now being a hope. So don't go all high and mighty, you have as much of a leg to stand on as Oscar Pistorious.

You are a hypocrite of the highest order.

By the way, if you take your head from your arse and stop being so disrespectful to other leagues, you would find that the Championship is one of the top European leagues in almost every measure.}

Ed you've made my morning 😂😂. Keep up the great work.

How are 5-6 teams in contention Rg. Look at the last 2 seasons both the EPL winners didn't really have even 1 challenger. You could argue that spurs challenged this year but Chelsea in all fairness ran away with it and had the title wrapped up 3 games to go. Then as for city, Liverpool, arsenal and united they all were no where near challenging and that has been apparent since February.

Ed, I am always respectful to Ed's even if I don't agree and find one particular Ed, who shall remain nameless, extremely offensive (its not you by the way! ) . I would like to thank you for at least publishing my response to your comments. We will have to beg to differ on this occasion, but I must explain that when I use a word such as 'competitive', it is clearly in relation to the point in question, not in general, hence the misinterpretation of my comment. As for raver, he gets what he deserves. I have plenty of friends who are Tottenham fans and we get on perfectly, as we show respect to one another, something which raver doesn't do in my opinion.

The way I see try predict the winner of the top leagues next season. Chances are one that busts your coupon is premiership. Interesting debate but for me the premiership is a one off. Pep knows now the fight that's on here.

Thanks ed for standing by the raver, I owe you a night out and a spin in the famous Subaru. As for R. G. he's more ruder than the pole dancers in Stringfellows. He's also the most deluded fan I have ever met and gives no other teams any credit and has got Arsenal blinkers on 24/ 7. I have great banter with all the boys on here and I always take my fair share of crap back all in Great strides. R. G. Is very jealous and bitter towards the raver and I don't know why, is it because I'm handsome, my Subaru, spurs, please let me know R. G.

{Ed001's Note - so my thanks is a night of hell??? Oh cheers! :-P
