In the first 10 years at the club we won 3 Pl titles, 4 FA cups, got to the CL final and had 10x top four finishes . the following 10 years gave us 9 top four finishes and 2 FA cups so going on trophies won it evens out to a trophy every other year over a very long period of time not many can match that only Man U and Liverpool of old get anywhere near it. The trouble we have we are in a rut and the last ten years are poor when compared to Wengers first decade, which sad . Has Wenger gone soft? I certainly think some of his signings aren't worthy of Arsenal but if he or the club don't do something soon we will go back to the mediocrity of the mid 70's and early 80's .

No Doubt about it quite a few of the players have let down Wenger badly but he is partly to blame for that for being too soft and too loyal for his own good to under-performing players. Wenger has lost his Mojo and motivational skills to get what is required out of these players, they have been on easy street for too long which has lead to a underlying complacency in games. In the early days don't forget he still had the old school English backbone of players that did not need leadership from the sidelines they were Motivated by the love of the shirt alone.

I'm not sure there's anyone who could come in and turn the players we have into winners or even make them competitive.
They are Arsenes players and it's Arsene's team but the weakness are the same as they have been for 7 or 8 years now, heavy embarrassing defeats are nothing new to Arsenal, was anyone really 100% shocked by last night? Disappointed certainly but anyone who didn't half expect us to be blown away by Bayern was kidding themselves.
We've seen embarrassing heavy defeats at the hands of Chelsea Utd City Liverpool Southampton over recent years and despite a few names and faces changing our problems remain exactly the same, it's been said 100s of times before but if we keep carrying on in the same old way we are certain to continue to get the same old results, why wouldn't we.

Hi Steve mate been working hard for a change :-) been meaning to catch up for a bit now mate but been real busy lately.
Don't know about you but I feel a really sad rather than angry how things are playing out for both Arsene and Arsenal, I know we've both been in favour of change for some time but hope it doesn't get too horrible.
