I can't help but think that Wengers touch line ban could have been a perfect opportunity for him to step back and let Steve Bould have total control for the 4 games, from training through to picking the team. Would have been a perfect "job interview" opportunity for Bould to show if he is capable of replacing Wenger, assuming he would want the role of course!

Now he would be the cheap option. For me he was always the one who did as hewas told on the pitch, not barking the orders and all I see is a wenger lap dog at the moment. I could name lots of ex players I would want as manager before bould, whom i'd see as a manager. Only my opinion.

Got a lot of respect for Bouldy but primarily as a player, much less so as a coach. He doesn't seem vocal at all on the touchline and I doubt he has what it takes to cut it in top tier management. It's sadly so often the case that a good second-in-command can't quite make that jump.

Take the example of someone like Mike Phelan - even with all the troubles Hull have faced that led Steve Bruce to walk out, I can't help but feel Phelan is sadly much better as the deputy than the sheriff. Same goes for Bouldy in my eyes.
