Very very lucky today after xhaka did his karate kick display. Lucky but deserved in the end. Xhaka is a liability and the guy is probably the worst exponent of tackling I have ever seen. What a waste of 35 mil he'd been.

Ed I actually though rambo has had two decent games for us and i'm critical of him usually. I just think when ramsay xhaka giroud play our spine is lacking pace and movement. Rambo cost us 10 mil ed not 35.
{Ed025's Note - the cost of players has never bothered me steve, for me ramsey and xhaka dont actually contribute enough, yes they look busy but actually achieve very little and should not be regular starters for ma mate..

agree with you steve. Waste of 35 million. As much as his passing is great he is a disaster waiting to happen. Why does he keep making reckless challenges in the middle of the pitch when there is really no need. stupid player. I don't think he will ever change. my guess is he has a temperament issue and not because he is really a bad tackler. in the first half defour fouled him and i guess he wanted to hurt him but ended up hurting his team. Really a stupid player. i wouldn't mind selling him.

I agree xhaka is very reckless with his tackling, but he brings something to the team that we don't have, his vision with the long passes and switch up play are great, he definitely need to work on his discipline, but I wouldn't say he is that bad, certainly better what ramsey can bring to the team.

Punani, watch him, if he ever gets another game, he can't tackle, he stands square and just tries to tackle as quick as he can. Any idiot knows if you stay on your feet you won't get a red card, go flying of the ground and its bye bye.

Let's remember how Kos used to be and how he is now. Players can change if they want. Now everyone loves Kos but he gave away plenty penalties early on with us.
Don't get me wrong - he was a plank today but your boy Coq was not much better and also has a temper. These young tough nuts in midfield need to grow up quick or it will cost us big

Sy stop trying to defend him, he isn't anything like kos or coq, they can tackle and in a tackle mistakes can happen. Xhakas a hot head and a hothead who can't tackle. Look at his disciplinary record, its awful. Look at coqs and kas and there's isnt. Anyone can see he is a liability.

Seeing what ed said there i'd like to add I see people are rightly criticising xhaka. Fair enough that could cost us. But don't see many people mentioning how Ramsey's stupid flash decision making could cost us. Seen it so many times lately he either plays a boring ball back or try some stupid turn or cross which doesn't always pay off. I remember seeing him do this years ago when he was playing shit. Then went on that brilliant form and said arsene told him to start doing the simple things right. Seems like he had lost that way again. That aside I'd have xhaka over him as long as he cuts this silly jumping into tackles. He's young and hopefully will learn soon

D i'm sorry i'd rather have my players on the pitch. Last two games ramsay has been good and I hope he's coming back to some form. Xhaka hopefully isn't required too much this season anf can reflect and work on his attitude.

agree with you steve. terrible tackler. santi is even a better tackler. xhaka is neither a coquelin nor cazorla. He isn't a ball winner and he can't dribble like cazorla and get out of tight spaces but i think he is still a better midfielder than ramsey. we may need to buy a cazorla replacement. a true box to box midfielder who can dribble, tackle and pass.
