If you think about it the Eds told us about Xhaka interest very early and that we were seriously trying to sign Vardy too and it turns out that was all their was to know about this summer.
Now think about all the other stories you read about players joining Arsenal this summer and not 1 of them happened or got even close to happening.
Just makes you realise how much rubbish the papers sly twotter and the rest dream up and how much time our fans waste by listening to them each and every window,
Will we learn for next summers window :-)

I doubt it G62 there will still be knobheads that will drive away the eds and there info so all we have are the papers.

Fair comment JE mate, I think yet again this window has highlighted the real credibility of this site against the sea of rubbish out there.
I know people want to hear things are happening but what is the point of misinformation that leads people to be gutted when it doesn't happen.
This site has outperformed every other transfer outlet yet again this summer yet people will still ask the Eds about a story they read in the same paper that lied to them about so many players in the past, why?

This is why ed002 was cherished because there would be a long list posted of our transfer targets and how much interest was actually there. So like you say you could separate crap from the good rumours 😉
It's been a let down of a transfer window for us fo sure.
Would it be a successful window if we ended up with Xhaka, Mustafi and a cf (icardi, lacazette) ?

That's my point ED, there is an art to convincing a player, if you really want someone then it's possible.

It was more of a side swipe at the fans on here that couldn't comprehend the fact he snubbed us! But it goes to show when a team not in the champions league break the world record and get one of the worlds most sought after players.
