My take on vardy is, if he decides to stay at Leicester then that is a massive put down for this club and its perceived ambition and how others look at it. Yes you can say he is loyal but for me a footballer wants to play as high as he can. Will he say to himself i'm at a better club in Leicester, they have just won the league. Or will he say my next step is arsenal. Kick in the knackers for me if he doesn't move and an even bigger one for wenger. Not many player's turn down the chance to move for betterment, is arsenal better?
I still think he will join though.

Steve,

As fan's, we constantly slag off player's for not showing loyalty.

RVP, has, and still, get's slaughtered on this site, for not showing any loyalty to Arsenal, and walking out to join Utd.

Yet you slag off Vardy for (possibly) showing loyalty to Leicester?

Not slagging vardy for showing loyalty dags, i'm saying if he doesn't come to arsenal it hasn't got anything to do with loyalty, its about him not thinking its a better move for him because he's leaving a prem winning team to come to perrenial not winning prem team. Apparently he's given the impression he wanted to come until leicester offered more money. So for me its not about loyalty, its about him not thinking its a better move. I won't slag vardy for staying, that's not an issue. But like I saidI still think he wwill come.

Oh and I never slagged rvp either, he left for a good reason. I never slagged cole for same reason, i never slagged fabrigas, for me loyalty is not an issue if a player can better himself.

Him staying at Leicester doesn't make them a bigger club than us. His dilemma is what if Leicester can repeat what they've achieved by staying or what if he stays and it all goes pear-shaped.

I really can't agree with you there Steve . How can you say that he would only stay because he thought Leicester were bigger or better. Yes I do agree it would be a kick in the balls but I hope he stays where he is.

If he turns us down to stay at Leicester no way is that an insult but if he turned us down for Spurs or Hamilton Athletic that would be jolly upsetting.
We no doubt have other realistic targets and we should start negotiating those if it's true what's being reported Vardy hasn't met the agreed time scale for an answer.

Steve,
Was only kidding mate.
It's a toughie for Vardy to be fair.
I'm sure there's more to it that us mere mortal's ever see.

Sano my point is are we going to win the league in the next four years and does he think we are, would he stall for say man city or does he decide, I've won the league at leicester, i'm comfortable, do I want to risk all for top four. i'm not confident we are ambitious enough that we want to win the league or are capable, is he. Leicester for him might be bigger because he has actually won the league there. Are we that big a pull for him, that's what I meant. If not, why.

Perhaps we are over thinking this. Maybe Vardy's main consideration is virtually the same as everybody else who works for a living, in that are you happy where you work and live, and if the answer is yes, what would it take to make you change? I don't think its a decision most would make quickly.
