We are doing some good business in this window I'm hoping we can get the structure of the rice deal sorted soon hoping talks don't break down.

Havertz, Rice and looking likely for Timber. it's not even July yet!

Where do you see Havertz fitting in. He’s not an upgrade on our attackers and pray we don’t put him in as a Granit replacement. May be an option to partner Jesus up front in a Giroud role. A few ex-players really questioning this expensive signing as light weight for midfield. We already have a slight midfielder in Ode - do we need another? Like options but couldn’t the 65m be used to get the Southampton lad to sort our midfield out or put it towards a deadly striker? Seems odd and very odd if Granit / Partey go.

Rice and Timber - bloody awesome. Rice is a super signing and will give us an engine, a leader and stability to attack. Love it - well done Edu and board ? ?.

If rice happens as we still seem to be arguing over the structure it might fall through yet.

Stephen might I suggest you treat yourself to a sieve with small mesh if you concerned about rice falling through mate.

You've seemed like a bag of nerves ever since the window opened Stephen, I'm a bit worried that your going to miss the opening month of the new season as you'll be laying in dark room trying to recover from the stress of the summer window.

Can see Stephens concerns 62 mate, we have a history of making a pigs ear of transfers. He is doing what is best for him, venting his feelings rather then bottling them up.

I'm now afraid to post here in case:

1. 14 adds my post to Discussions
2. G62 decides to tell me how I appear to be feeling.

Fair play Bill, but whether we pace the floor, check the Internet every few minutes and keep telling ourselves how Arsenal will screw this up like they screw everything else up, or just let things evolve and unfold naturally and accept everything will be absolutely fine, the end result will be exactly the same for us fans alike.

From what I can tell everything is going pretty well with the Rice deal and the clubs are simply doing all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes and takes time with all transfers, and absolutely everything to the contrary is simply people telling themselves and each other scary stories about what catastrophes could possibly happen, to each their own I guess.

Can't say I see havertz fitting in, SY, thought he's been a massive flop myself. Xhakas position maybe depending on the opposition, cover for ode, general attacking cover. he's definitely an upgrade on vieira.
But hey, if they wanted to spend 65m to sign him, they must see something!

Rice will sign, be patient.

Havertz is definitely not slight! He’s about 6ft 4 and won more duals last season in the final 3rd than any other player, MA is no mug! He will help with the high press, he also made more attacking runs than only one other player in the EPL ( HAALAND! ) it wasn’t his fault that the rubbish team mates he played with couldn’t find the pass.
Honestly we’ve been here before questioning MA’s signings which is why I stopped posting. Odegaard is one example and Ramsdale another, I actually can’t believe the same posters are even now being negative with all the business we seem to be doing plus giving the best team in the world ATM a real run for their money last season.

I'm absolutely with 337 mate. I don't understand why we keep questioning. Last season proved everyone wrong. And for excited and hopeful and I have a complete trust of the decision made and about to be made.

I have trust in who they sign I'm just a massive rice fan and want this one over the line just wondering why its taking so long to sort the structure out.

With half the footballing world questioning the Havertz deal, and at £65 million, you must have taken days off work!

The moment we stop questioning, asking "why" - the moment we quit concerns, reservations, and even dreaming big, that's the day we lose our spark. It's like we've hit the pause button on our human nature.

We're saying goodbye to our natural curiosity, our drive to learn more, and our hunger to get better. It's like we're packing up our dreams, our hopes, and our goals, and settling for a future that's just "meh", without any new ideas, discoveries, or insights. It's like we're giving up on making the world a better place, on lighting up the future, and on figuring out this crazy universe and our role in it.

It's like we're throwing away our chance to be more, to do more, and to change things for the better. So let's keep asking, keep dreaming, and keep pushing, because that's what makes us human. That's what keeps the fire in us alive.

All that is true about life. And if football plays even a small part in your life, well.

If you're the type that is happy to "whatever will be will be" your life and it's working for you, that's great! Thinking that's the only way to live life; that's not so great.

{Ed014's Note - nice post sharpie!

Hi Stephen absolutely no need to be sorry mate, I'm just concerned your over thinking things and causing yourself to stress without the need to.

For me the club and manger have made it clear they are not content with last seasons 2nd place and a CL return they want to be and are doing everything they can to make sure we are even better next season than we were last season. Absolutely no hint of anyone saying we don't need new signings as Elneny being fit will be like a new signing ???.

We can't judge those running Arsenal today by the mistakes of those who were running Arsenal a few years ago, everything is different now to what it was then both on and off the pitch and personally I think those who are running things now days have more than earned our trust, I'm pretty sure Rice will be a done deal within the next week or so and I think we might even have few more treats heading our way too mate, but whatever happens I genuinely believe the club want the same things we want and are doing everything they possibly can to make them happen, I personally couldn't possibly ask more than that of them.

Trusting is far better and much more enjoyable than all that over thinking and worrying about things over which we have absolutely no control over anyway ?. Alls is and all is going to be more than well Stephen mate, just wait and see ????.

Doctor: So Stephen, what brings you in to see me today?
Stephen: Stress, Doctor. Lots and lots of stress.
Doctor: I know what you mean Stephen, there's so much craziness happening in the world. What part of it all stresses you out the most?
Stephen: Arsenal's transfer policy

Come on! People are just having the usual, bi-yearly reactions to transfers.

I know I'm just a person that worries a lot unfortunately it's my passion for Arsenal and hoping we do well and sign players to improve us my wife is a westham fan and she is happy that rice might be coming to us over city.

Hi Stephen, it's never been my intention to criticise you only to offer you an alternative to all the worrying about things you cannot change or control as you appeared to be more stressed than most people by all the rumours this summer.

It's your life geezer and you live it in whatever way feels right for you mate, my intention was only to point out that whether you worry or not the out come will be exactly the same for you, me and everyone else. No offence was intended Stephen and I'm sorry for any I may have caused you mate ?.

With a team that threw away top 4 and Top spot over two seasons plus never really questioned Wenger at the end. We should be challenging them.

Otherwise we would still be tinkering and dithering in the transfer market - that’s how every elite athlete gets better. Not by acceptance but challenging themselves more. Why do City add every season?

We challenge because we see issues and seen mistakes in the past. We have issues to sort from last season as we blew a ridiculous lead.

Nothing wrong with not challenging but if no one did we would be bottom half wondering what happened as everyone else progressed

We all enjoy watching the team especially as 90% of the time put effort in. Plus play decent football for a decent % in most games. So that may be enough for you and you are happy for the board to do the worrying plus I’m sure the club isn’t looking on here for feedback so what does it achieve?

It’s banter and we all get whatever we want out of it and read / ignore : comment on what we want. Hence a great site.

Happy Saturday _ hopefully Rice is done. We need a leader like him. ❤️???.

Yeah nice post sharpie! But a bit over philosophical lol, my point was to have some trust in MA and his team, he must have seen something in Havertz like he did in Odegaard which many questioned.
And it’s also good to have your own opinion and to voice it when you feel appropriate, which is one of the purposes of this site. ??.

I was simply trying to match your hyperbole about not posting here because someone on the internet had an opinion, mate.

You very literally just stated that you stopped posting here because others have opinions and express them. I'm not the one trying to stifle opinion.

You see it as people "not trusting Arteta". Buddy, people up and down the country become armchair experts come transfer window time. They berate and they applaud. Sometimes they even poke a little fun. That's a transfer window. It's been that way since before you and I. Since before the internet.

I don’t know why people worry and threat over things they have absolutely no control over. Yes, both football and transfers are a nice distraction, but none of us have any say over who Arsenal sign, or if we will win anything. It’s the same when you get on a plane, you have to sit back and accept you have put yourself at the mercy of others who are more experienced and have more knowledge and skills to ensure you have a safe journey. So sit back, and let Captain Arteta and First Officer Edu do their Job for Kronke airlines, while you watch a movie and sip a G&T!
